Yeah I was following that Youtube video that I posted.
Basically not trying to drill a hole in the driver side footwell, because I don't have a drill. And have never drilled through a car's floorboard before. So figured, no harm in snaking the tube across and reuse that existing A/C drain tube over in the passenger side.

I have a Fusion as a work car, and while they are very competent as a vehicle, they are Not the same. Lol.
stSaint - we used to go to Hatteras every spring break when I was a kid. Stepdad was from Buxton. You’d like kill devil hills and nags head; or if you like end-of-the-road type places with unique personalities- ocracoke.

My last oil change was October 23, 2021, or about a year and a half ago. Didn't bother at all last year, because of low miles.
So I finally changed it this morning, and in recording my OCI, it turns out I've driven exactly 2446 miles in that time.
That seems almost silly. It's like I'm not driving at all anymore.

Makes it really hard to justify additional mods let alone adding another vehicle (convertible) to the stable...

Changed over to the summer set today and while doing so noticed that my front right cat has a rust hole in it about the size of a nickel. What would you guys down south suggest for a repair/replacement? We don't have emission testing up here in Canada like many of the US so the rusty cat is not that big of a deal as far as emissions go. Is this just a good excuse to upgrade to test pipes and a catback? I was thinking about patching it but I don't think you can weld that thin aluminum on the cat, correct?
Any suggestions for repairs/replacement are appreciated, budget friendly, or otherwise. Again, I just noticed it today so I am just looking at options for now. Cheers

Is it the cat itself or the shield on it? The shields tend to become swiss cheese, while the cat itself is much more resistant to rust.

I believe many fall into that category. The OCI for both my beater pickup and the G is due next month. Based on my records, between the two combined, I drove 2545 miles since the last OC in 5/2022.

The car was clean, the summer wheels are on it, and I just changed the oil yesterday. So after realizing how little I've driven it since the last OCI, I vowed to drive it more this year. The wife and I spent the entire day winery hopping in the Finger Lakes region, and we took the G37. It was an awesome drive, and a gorgeous day. Came home with lots of wine, and burned through more than half a tank.
I'm kind of tired. Actually, I'm very tired, LOL.
Also, driving through the town of Watkins Glen for the umpteenth time in my life, and each time asking myself why I've never been to the track.

Pretty sure it was the cat itself. Saw some steel wool type looking stuff poking through. Just took a pic and looking at it more closely it looks like the guard....I dunno though. I have never held or seen a cat converter up close. It's kinda weird that there is a circle around the rusted hole
The silver outer is the sacrificial shield, the inner part is the cat itself.
For peace of mind have a trusted mechanic look at it closer, but yeah, save your money. Cat replacements on this car can get costly, and the labour involved is not easy. The demon bolts..... I still have flashbacks lol

Well, poo. Looks like R2C has gone out of business - site down, and reports from around last fall that they shuttered for good.
What's a good dry filter substitute for their Black Hex series? All my other experience is with K&N oiled filters.
Finally got the nose off, putting together the 2.75 intake to match my AFM housings, and... their intended filters (from my 2.5 OD setup) will in no way fit.
