Can't go wrong on that Koni deal... entirely too good to pass on, IMO. Now I just gotta make up my mind in springs so I can get mine installed!

Just letting you guys know about a group buy going on, on facebook/ig. It's for a pretty aggressive CF hood so it may not interest the old guards here. Render of it so far. We have 7/10 slots so far. Search group "=AZWOrBKCmGkeFCPMuILGLqdGwJCUjEYIe5l-k5Me3zYZ3YaFp8xOpH7cRD0duQkkV1F4y1Nb3B35AFp6t554_0 rB1oIhEKqyZzMItZerXsTD0wACxxODM--uhvR4JSy-1jcW13i7CiQGPGq6XEMapPpTAbaujVLxgQl0Lu0-cx_y88Z-ldDrTxRKipp18hUnI1Q&__tn__=-UC%2CP-R]G37 Carbon hood" on fb.

On a different topic - I've been reading about the slim washer tank (to gain clearance for deeper fog lights) and I'm confused. Looks like maybe 2011+ came with that part, but also maybe coupe only? What about the sedans? Different/same part, or what?

Er, so says the man who shops Amazon almost every day.
Artfully said, Supra.

I've actually been contemplating (with the same relish I have for getting another cardiac aorta stent) joining FB with a naked profile (IE, new email, no friends friended, etc) just to use facebook marketplace, since I still have a ton of RX7 / rotary stuff that I'd rather not just throw away, and eBay has rubbed me the wrong way for the final time. But... I really don't wanna. Shame I can't get a JDM FD3S torsen to fit the R200 differential.
Having said that, Amazon has profited off us this past year for sure. We've not gone to the point of ordering regular perishable groceries from them, but darn near everything else... inadvertent good result is that we use Amazon Smile, so our selected charity did pretty well by us this year.

Facebook groups are the worst, I'm in the "G37 Coupes and Sedans" page and 90% of them are idiots who post the SAME stupid questions over and over again.

I am in a similar boat as you, Mike. More and more vendors are transitioning to FB Marketplace to conduct business. I can't blame them what with eBay going to hell like it has, but for some people, like me, signing up just to do business behind another "walled garden" is not feasible. Just my 10¢.

if craigslist was worth a darn, or any of the apps that have come out, or the relevant forums were useful (and to be honest, I don't really fault a forum about cars that are at best 26 years old, and at worst, 43 for being less-than-hopping)... or, if there was a way to sell used parts on Amazon like you can with books... I might think differently.
But I doubt that if I *do* create a FB Marketplace account, that it will exist much longer than my garage backlog.
Heck, I should canvas on here to see if anyone plays with rotary cars.

Haha yeah I just know the average person here is not the same type as the facebook groups. I consider myself a bit of a hybrid of both. I like clean but I also like wild.
The coupe group buy is filled. The Sedan group buy is currently at 8 of 10 me being one of them. I get it guys, facebook sucks, but sadly it's the best place to stay current and involved. I'm an old fart compared to most of the "kids" on there too, been a member of forums since 2001 and it's also my preferred platform.

Im more or less on FB for my local Nissan Infiniti Group and marketplace. Its pretty liberating.

So RCA Garage's fulfillment center doesn't package very well, and I got pretty badly damaged Koni boxes. Only one of the dampers was damaged (minor bend/scrape to the brake line bracket) and they've made it right, so no complaints - this happens. Overall satisfied with the experience.
Opinion - install damaged strut this weekend, simple rebend of bracket and some touch-up paint on same, or wait for new one to arrive in ? days? Either way, the excess unit I'll put on here or some ebay alternative.
/BTW - have a front left Koni Yellow with minor (see pic) damage FS - $50 + shipping. And I'll ship it with packing materials LOL. With the other side $144 from RCA with free shipping, that's a pair for $220 or so...
Last - a question. Is it normal for the spring collars to not fit on the shock body? Mine are interference fit, that is, I could hammer them on, scraping off the paint, but they certainly won't "slide" on without sanding down the edges of the spring collar hole.

I remember reading somewhere that the perches are ever-so-slightly out of round to facilitate installation in a one-way fashion. Whether that applies to the G37/370Z I'm not sure- might've been a Honda thing...
