I parted out a Q45 not too long ago and while I was deskining the seats I found that the "cooling" aspect of the seat is just a mini blower motor that scoops cool air from the floor vent and into the seat.
Then I noticed the Convertible G has brings the "cooled" seat option along with dual settings on the buttons as well.

Makes me think if apart from the electrical if we could retrofit our already heavy seats with more weight and introduce the cool option to the sedan and coupe.

You certainly could. I know on the newer Nissans it is tied into the A/C system and it does get quite cool after about 10-15 minutes. Where there is a will, there is a way, but you will also need to make sure the perforations in the seat are large enough to flow air. Or you could just get cloth racing seats like me and not have to worry about heating and air conditioning.

The curiosity came after seeing the Vert come with them, meaning the system "could" be transplanted in the sedan and coupe. The after having taken a cooled seat apart it appears that it's just vents that pick up air from the floor and pass it to your seat. Possibly a pipe dream even though wiring is my forte and could definitely make it work, I don"t need to add more weight to these heavy *** seats

Bite your tongue! No such thing as a pipe dream in the world of car mods... hell, my car is already a Frankenstein of G, M, and Q parts with my current mods...

I looked into doing the swap but gave up because it is/was next to impossible to find a set of 'Vert seats decently priced for their condition.

Now, if the seats blew cold air around the neck area like some Mercedes seats, maybe... I ended up swapping over the headrest speakers and moved on to the next project...

If you transfer the cooling system from the convertible seats couldn't you just transfer over the entire seats?

I've never been a fan of the coupe/convertible seat. Sedan all the way + monaco red seats.

I can't argue about the red monaco seats, they are amazing. But there's a difference between the standard coupe and sedan seats? I had a coupe before my sedan and never noticed a difference.

This thread has certainly fallen by the wayside... rev 'er up.

Does anyone know where I could find a list of the programmable BCM options? I've tried looking in the BCM section of the FSM and I'm not seeing the list. IE, if a car had automatic/rain sensing wipers, how would you program that in vs. standard wipers? I doubt the BCM would see anything different in the combo switch, or activate that feature just because the rain sensor is plugged in.

Had a mini-meetup today with my accountant. He wanted to see my G, and show off his Q50S AWD Red Sport.

So I got to drive the Red Sport around, and it's quite a nice car. It's very luxurious, and quite the highway cruiser. On the negative side, it feels kind of tame compared to my car, except for that whoosh of turbo boost, which is undeniably fun. Seriously, what a rush! Still, first gear is anemic, and throttle response is non-existent. Handling is meh, but controlled and very capable, and again that's only by comparison. For what it is, the handling is more than adequate, and better than most.

In the context of what makes a daily driver a "sport sedan", I would easily call the Red Sport a Sport Sedan.

On the 1/4 mile dragstrip in my head, I'm 100% positive that I would crush it out of the hole, maybe even beat it in the 1/8 mile, after which it would play catch up and easily pass me with a flurry of turbo noise. But on a course track or Auto-X (again, in my head, LOL), it wouldn't even be close.

There was a moment driving his car where I plowed into an off-ramp that swept right then left. He got really nervous and said I should slow down, and I just looked at him calmly and said, "Why?" Different cars, different values, I suppose.

It was a good experience. Never, ever turn down someone's offer to drive their car.

Getting little love for a question thread in the suspension area.

I'll try it here - what are good replacements for the stock Sport shocks, to be used with 370Z Nismo red springs?

Our shock options are pretty limited. KYB’s are equivalent to factory according the internet but which model shocks? Base? Sport?

Factory Sport shocks are discontinued I believe? Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

If you are lowered, as you are, I would avoid the Tein’s because of Hugh’s detailed experience of living on the hydraulic bump stops.

What’s left worth considering? Basically the Koni yellows but the big downside, as I’m sure you already know, is their price tag.

If I had to make a decision right here right now, it would be the Koni’s.

Hey Mike, I would highly recommend Koni Yellow shocks for your G. I had them on my G37 Sedan and absolutely loved them. They're a bit pricey but they will last you at least 200k miles.

That might be a black-friday thing then, and I stick with stock shocks for now. I've got all the tools to swap springs, so it's nothing but time...

Re: Koni's
As I mentioned in the other thread, I paid $650 for all 4 corners from RCAGarage last month.

They are currently on sale at $144 per corner at RCAGarage (I guess I should've waited another month!)
There are deals out there...

Konis on their way. RCA Garage at $144/corner was too good a deal to pass up.

Man, I got to get to installing some of this stuff. I need my garage back for stuff, not just a performance parts storage bin.
