Anyone ever have this issue with their steering wheel making this squeaking sound and if you know how to fix it? It's very annoying and i tried spraying silicone spray to the boot under the steering column but it's still there. Any suggestions?
I've only heard something similar to that once. I replaced my steering wheel and somehow routed the wire for my clock spring incorrectly. I removed, re-routed, and reinstalled. Noise gone. Any chance you've had the steering wheel off recently?

It's too bad almost no one has racing seats in these cars. I'd love to find someone putting their car back to stock to trade my sports for.

It is probably because it is a huge PITA to do on a sedan since you have to wait a few months on seat rails from Japan. Also probably because no one really knows the correct resistors to use to cancel out the airbag lights. I think I finally figured out the magic combo and am enjoying my Sparcos.

4drz - did you try the sparco-branded resistor packs?
I thought hard about racing seats in mine because the oem sport seats aren't in the best condition and don't quite fit me somehow. I know about the sciatica bars in the bottom but the seat back tends to hold me tilted in towards the center too, and my legs are not remotely centered in the seat.
What about bodging a racing bucket onto the bottom of the oem seat to get the rails and motors?

I am sure anything is possible, but that would probably require cutting a lot of metal and welding to make a race seat work with what is left of a factory seat bottom. Then you would have to hope it is safe in an accident and you just trashed your $5,000+ factory seat. I would rather wait for the rails on special order from Japan that bolt up to a race seat.

So I'm not sure where to put this other than a 'chat' thread. Last night I came upon and ran with (within the law) a legit R32 RHD import here in Charleston. Didn't get to talk to the driver but I surely geeked out.

There's a right-drive R32 here in Rochester somewhere... saw it at a Cars & Coffee two years ago. It was in really good shape, but clearly driven, and if I recall his arrival, it was driven with some attitude. I've seen (and heard) it fly by traffic on the highway a few times. Wait, I have a pic:

That's pretty cool. Was it in good condition?

I honestly never understood the emotional reaction to these cars. I mean, it's OK... good proportions and clean design (without the cladding and spoiler). Kind of reminds me of a grown-up version of my old 1992 240SX Coupe, which I've always though looked much better with a trunk than a hatch.
Not my old car, but here's a pic of the 240SX Coupe at the same corner, for perspective, because chat...
