Isnt the Cayman more of a cruiser than a sportscar? I dunno, i've never driven one.
I've always considered the Cayman a hardtop Boxster, but I'm not even remotely a Porsche guy, so that might be somewhat simplistic. The back end/fender look of the Cayman is freaking beautiful, that I know for a fact.
The hardtop transforms the Vert into a work of art, exactly like it does for the Jag F-Type.

I definitely wouldn't call the Cayman a cruiser; its probably more sports car than just about anything else on the road. The Porsche Cayman S is typically regarded as one of the 10 best handling / driver's cars sold in America by most of the car magazines. It's basically a Porsche Boxster S with a fixed roof, which equates to a stiffer chassis and even better handling than the Boxster. And if you are lucky enough to get your hands on a Cayman GT4 (or upcoming GT4 RS) then you've got a factory built track car!

While I've only ever driven a first gen Boxster S, I thought the cars handling was incredible, and the 3.2 was plenty powerful back in the mid-2000s, although with all the power up high, it isn't going to win the stoplight gran prix.. My wife's V6 accord makes more power and torque
But it's a 15 year old car Rochester is talking about. A 2013 Boxster S brings 315 horsepower in a car that weighs a little more than 3000 pounds, enough to pull a 12.9 according to Car and Driver.
The Cayman S is a little lighter, and has a little more horsepower. I'd love to squeeze a Cayman S of that vintage into the empty slot in my 3 car garage, but it's far more responsible to max out our 401ks
Trying to get ideas for what color to re-paint my calipers as I got new wheels. Currently, it's a burnt orange flake but I'm leaning towards a dark reddish caliper with lugs to match. Any suggestions? Here are my new wheels..

jeeeeeeeeeesus those look awesome. Honestly I was thinking dark red/crimson would be cool. But on the other hand I do have a soft spot for that orange/copper color of GTR calipers.
Calipers will take a big back seat vs. those new wheels but on your white G I'd go white w/ black letters
Adrian (2GoRNot2G) had that color on his high hp bad boy, so they should give you a boost too! This isn't a pic of his though.
