Snows are on the car, and my two old friends are back:
TPMS sensor light, that I ignore for the next 5 months, because I'm too cheap to get the sensors synced up twice a year.
Traction Control light, that reminds me not to drive like I would otherwise.
With snow tires, a strong throttle makes the back end all loose and rubbery, and the TC slaps me back. It's just a fact of life living in the Northeast. Every year I have a re-learning and re-adjustment to my driving behavior. Oh well.
Rubbery. Yeah, that's the word.
There is 10 cm of snow by my house, and 10 degrees warmer with green grass and birds singing by my work lol. I havent had time to go order my winters yet....In my case, its the winters (stock 17's) that will make my TPMS light go away haha. I also get to enjoy the soft ride of high profile tires for 5 months before going back to the 'if the shoes dont hurt, they're not good shoes' 20"s I roll around on all summer.

I figure, worst case it's 7 months summer, 5 months winter. Best case it's 8 and 4. And I certainly drive it less in the Winter anyway. So if I have to be annoyed with a constant TPMS light, I'd rather it be on my snows.

17's to 20's and back, I'm sure you notice it. For me, going from 18's to 19's and back, I really don't. Yours is a good point made and makes me appreciate not really dealing with it.
The thing I'm struggling with now is whether or not to buy two new rear PSS next year. The tread is very, very low. Like, won't pass inspection and isn't safe in the rain kind of low... but still has some tread that makes me think I can keep using them. I have a tool to measure it, but don't want to face the $700 reality.
My 3ft drift behind the van turned into the whole driveway while I was at work... 36hrs of snow and of course my snowblower was dropped off Friday for service. 2hrs of shoveling makes me really appreciate the simplicity of my push start blower. Needless to say I'm a little bit stiff this morning

Tell me about it. It's stuff I've been promoting for years... compromise, practicality, attention to details, summer tires etc. But overall, compromise. Because most every aftermarket mod is a hack, with perceived benefits over something not quite right.

How did the Battle Version arms hold up? I almost purchased them over SPL.
I had my rear PSS off in order to do pads and a brake bleed, and took some measurements of my rear tires. I have ~10,000 miles on these tires. I'd like to make it through 'winter' before replacing.
I have a little uneaven wear in the inner portion, but not enough to be concerned with.
What's the NISMO sticker? And why are you wearing those gloves?

8/32" after 10,000 miles? Are you sure it's been 10K? Because those tires have 10/32" tread to start. 10K miles should be around 4-5/32" loss for a sticky 3-season tire. So if you're at 8/32", count your blessings, man.
I've got the same little tread depth tool. Seeing your pic made me go down to the basement and measure. Fronts are at 5-6/32", and rears are at 4-5/32". I'm thinking I can get one more year out of all of them, which for me will be another 5K miles after the snows come off.
Now I know 4/32" is pretty damn low, but it's a very even wear, which is surprising considering the negative camber on those rears is over -2*. And a full set of PSS for my summer wheels would be about $1200 or thereabouts.
