Few pics from the 1/2 mile event this past Saturday. Had a blast. I went 159 in my brothers mustang. Runway wasn't to flat and it was sketchy af haha here are some pics. Zdayz is this Thursday... Will post some footage of that as well. The white Z behind the mustang has a twin turbo kit installed as well. Hey broke he stock block on 93 record at 675. That car moves! They were running around 580 at the half mile and put down a 150. Pretty good day. I wanted to run the G. *traps 120mph and gets laughed at*. Lolol

Finally got my UpRev tune today at Jotech. Baseline with no mods a few years back was 270 whp and 238 wtq. With the intake, RHFC's and FI CBE, it made 292 whp. With the tune, I got 308.47 whp and 253.79 wtq. Pretty nice for a 7AT. The torque curve is nice and flat from 2,500 to 6,000 rpm.
I will say that the shifts are MUCH better and dramatically improved. I'm quite happy with the results. Only way I might get more is with Z1 shorties and a upper intake manifold, which I'm not sure is worth it...but who knows...I may wind up doing those and maybe a lighter driveshaft. At that point, I think it'd be a beast for a NA car.

I have an almost identical setup including the UPREV. The new shift maps are spectacular. And I dig the the TQ curve. It just goes on and on. Our numbers are very close.
I've looked a bit at drive shafts, two-piece rotors and lightweight pulleys to reduce rotational mass as well. The driveshaft can be a challenge since the sedan is a two-piece affair. Also look for aluminum yokes to shave off a few more lbs.

On another note. I found the time to install my nismo shocks, Z1 slotted rotors, and centric brake pads today. The nismo struts made a much bigger difference than expected. Stiffened it up a bit and seems to roll less now. Steering feels a little more responsive. The Braking is amazing compared to stock and I haven't even installed the SS lines yet so I'm excited to see the change in pedal after doing that. If anyone is in need of brakes, definitely check out Z1 motorsport non sport brake package up grade.

Honestly, going to the 2 piece rotors didn't make the car feel much different acceleration wise...I'd say it's negligible at best. I shaved 16 pounds off the front end by doing that though, which isn't too shabby. Got SS lines as part of a kit that RB was offering at the time. However, their rotors are frickin' bulletproof. They're a bit pricey but VERY much worth it. With the ET500 pads, their rotors would last for the life of the car...I'm fairly certain of that-- I'll post a review threat because I changed my pads over the weekend and had some interesting take aways.
I haven't seriously considered the drive shafts and couldn't remember how much was involved but do remember SharpByCoop having some issues on his Coupe, so that kind of shelved that mod for me, but his issues were related to 3/4 flange between coupe and sedan or something to that effect. But if it makes it onto my mod list, I'll definitely try to lighten things up a bit.
Thank you sir! Yeah it seems like a lot of money to chase another 25-ish hp. Driveshaft would be nice. I know someone makes a carbon fiber unit for our cars but can't remember who. Glad you got to install your new upgrades and it looks like things are progressing very nicely on your car. You'll have to let me know your impressions once you get your SS brake lines on. When I got mine, I didn't notice a whole lot of difference.

According to wiki the tech package was available to the 6mt starting in 2009. Last paragraph of the 2009 description....
The G37 is available as G37, G37 Journey, G37S 6MT and G37x AWD models. Major option packages remain to be the Premium Package, Sport Package, Nav Package, Tech Package.
