You know, i never imagined i would have went in the direction i've been going since purchasing my G one year ago this month. When i first got it, all i wanted to do was add power mods and leave the car looking completely OEM as possible minus the tint. But once i installed the FI CBE i started looking at the car differently. I still wanted and plan on doing power mods but now visual mods have become a big part of my modding process. Albeit a slow process. I blame it on the FI CBE too....
Now here i am, the guy who had no plans whatsoever on any visual mods, who swore he'd never buy new wheels, now, has new wheels and a midnight grille with plans of adding a spoiler in the near future. lol oh well, i'm not complaining mind you. I really like where my G is right now and what the future holds...

You started out just buying a nice car, and now it's become a hobby. That's pretty normal stuff. Odds are, your next car will start as a hobby, and turn into a slow obsession. And the hobby car after that might not even be a daily driver.
And the car after that will be a leased Merc, where all you do is take it through the car wash once a month.

Thanks, sonic!
I just dropped off the STS, and the Z1 transmission mount, at the mechanic's for him to look at with the instructions. Installation is scheduled for next Monday, so I'll be removing the console this weekend. As expected, he gave me crap for not doing the STS myself.

^^^ Sometimes there is a lot less stress when you pay someone to do it for you.
I destroyed the factory shift **** when I removed it. It had way too much thread locking compound. $330 later is was replaced. (Yes, I like the OEM shifter that much) I cleaned up the threads and it can now be removed by hand with a little force.
You don't always save money when you do it yourself.

Unedited and uploaded, just because.
I figure to make the identical video after the STS is installed, and see is we can see what the difference is.

No, wait, I need the 2010+. However, you pointed me in the right place. Pages 38+ in the 2010 FSM... which seem about the same thing.

Your shifter height is going to be shorter than the one in the video Roch?
