JMO but i think the crank pulley swap would have a better/bigger impact on the 7AT than the 6MT. Not that it wouldn't benefit the MT.

I did the 3 piece pulley swap on my Mustang, crank, water pump, and alternator, and it was a solid mod. Noticed much better throttle response but honestly couldn't tell you if it helped in the HP/TQ department....
When you do the all the pulleys do you underdrive the accessories (everything but the crank) for more gain? Or is it not necessary with better, lightweight pulleys and belt?

Thanks - Sean

All very good points, MaQG37. Reasonably optimistic.

I used a lightweight pulley on my last car, from Unorthodox Racing. It was pretty damn expensive for what it did, which was no perceived change when driving, although rev response when goosing the throttle at idle... I swear that felt better. Probably all in my head at the time.

I'm not going to do it on this car. Can't see the point.

Hotchkis Sways F/R
Stillen Crank Pulley/Belt
Red Grounding Kit
RJM CPA

Can't decide on coil brand.. need summers/rims but it's tough to choose an offset without knowing the drop
Damn! Your cars going to feel amazing after your done lol as for the different variables, he had the upper hand with less humidity and colder air. If that's what you're referring too.

Little bit of both, the OEM pulleys are heavier than the aftermarket pulleys, but more so under driving the accessories....

I am hoping the same on the cats.... RJM is a V3, sways/cats/cbe all together would have a shorter time then the itemized list (should leave time for )

Not a single cloud today in TX. I finally get a chance to wash the G, it's been raining quite a bit lately. Also, picking up a new spoiler for the G tomorrow morning.

I heard, Austin dodged the hail Dallas and San Antonio got and the flooding Houston got.

If you have the means, I would try the DIY. You don't need expensive tools and it's good experience to have under your belt if you have suspension related noises down the line. Not to mention, when you have to adjust pre-load or height.

^ Agreed 100%
Although if you're set on having someone do it, 475 isn't bad. Assume 150-175 is the alignment (these are Bay Area prices with camber / toe kits), so the install is only 300. A few hours to put it in, plus a decent amount of time fiddling to get the height right, and you're right at the hourly rate for a good shop.

Seems a little overpriced but not too bad.
