Please, step into my office. I currently daily drive a 2012 g37s, albeit a coupe.

Can you fit an LS1 into a Datsun 300zx? I've been thinking about trying it as a pet project.

Definitely. That would be a fun car to drive. RX7's used to be the hot item for that swap, but I see more LSX engines in Mustangs now. The stock rear end in RX7's are apparently as strong as a stock camaro LS1 car rear end. That's obviously not very strong which isn't saying much for the camaros. I don't keep much track on non domestic cars though, honestly.

It's cool, Bro. I just had flashback de-ja-"U". LOL I can't give much advice on performance mods to you. The CA clean air lunatics and the laws are above my knowledge. I'd say; sways, and drop would be a nice start. Wow, not much else for you to do that's non-appearance. A good CAI (Cold Air Intake) shouldn't screw you for your tests. They really sound good as well. Welcome to the forum, and think about becoming a premium member. You'll get to view the classified For Sale threads.

I went with Hotchkis front and rear and am pleased. Others have gone eibach iirc and some just the rear sway from an S. A lot of things change if you're an x'er.

Check out Fast Intentions if you're in CA, that's where I got my RHFCs and am getting my exhaust. 1cleang is a forum member here, he may be able to get you forum pricing to save a little. I'm tempted to get my car out to CA at some point in the future to have them do some custom exhaust work for me but for a DD just not sure I will.

I did CAI, RHFCs, BBK upgrade, sways and have an exhaust on order. I'm going with lighter rims which I think will look better and "should" unspring a little HP I hope.

That's about it. Will probably do a Motordyne 370 or the Z1 mod then a tune at some point.

Rochester, you think if we ask nicely we can get a flappy paddle smiley?

Welcome to the site Steelsnow, glad you found the chat-a-holics
Sounds like you've got a pretty good idea about what you want. If you don't mind the sport seats (that's the only reason I'm on my 2nd Journey, my wife hated the S seats) then the extras, especially the BBK and LSD make it worth the price of admission. The Bridgestone Summer tires wear quickly and the 18" "upgrade" wheels aren't the best looking, but both are so much better than the uglier 17" wheels and garbage A/S tires.
Have fun w/ your search and like you've quickly found out, we're here to help (or maybe not)

You will never see the same amount of gains from bolt-ons on any LS engine from any VQ engine. Having owned a built TT VQ35DE and working at a late model LS mod shop I can say that with 100% certainty.

Hello Sedan compatriots, I just got back some revised artwork for a MyG37.com sedan decal. What do you think?

I bought the coupe design..... Looks good but maybe the front could be elongated just a hair?

I tried to keep the proportions as correct as possible. I started the drawing by putting a piece of paper on my laptop screen and tracing the actual outline of a sedan.

If I send the image tomorrow, it'll take 1-2 weeks before I get stickers in hand.
