Just starting out man. I know I need to read more, trust me. Ask me anything you want about an LS1. Gotta start somewhere. I am just asking people for their own opinions, you know? What would you do if you got a slightly used '12 or '13 G37S that would be used as a DD? Let's keep appearance mods out of this, too. Go!
Can you fit an LS1 into a Datsun 300zx? I've been thinking about trying it as a pet project.

Definitely. That would be a fun car to drive. RX7's used to be the hot item for that swap, but I see more LSX engines in Mustangs now. The stock rear end in RX7's are apparently as strong as a stock camaro LS1 car rear end. That's obviously not very strong which isn't saying much for the camaros. I don't keep much track on non domestic cars though, honestly.

Check out Fast Intentions if you're in CA, that's where I got my RHFCs and am getting my exhaust. 1cleang is a forum member here, he may be able to get you forum pricing to save a little. I'm tempted to get my car out to CA at some point in the future to have them do some custom exhaust work for me but for a DD just not sure I will.

That's about it. Will probably do a Motordyne 370 or the Z1 mod then a tune at some point.
Rochester, you think if we ask nicely we can get a flappy paddle smiley?

Welcome to the site Steelsnow, glad you found the chat-a-holics
Sounds like you've got a pretty good idea about what you want. If you don't mind the sport seats (that's the only reason I'm on my 2nd Journey, my wife hated the S seats) then the extras, especially the BBK and LSD make it worth the price of admission. The Bridgestone Summer tires wear quickly and the 18" "upgrade" wheels aren't the best looking, but both are so much better than the uglier 17" wheels and garbage A/S tires.
Have fun w/ your search and like you've quickly found out, we're here to help (or maybe not)
