Meh. I've been driving MT for 20 years and never had a transmission related problem

I've heard that, too. IDK how much is urban myth and how much is real... but it's certainly better to have both hands on the steering wheel. And it feels right to recommend the shifter be allowed to move with the engine/tranny without constant resistance, however infinitesimal.

I wouldn't obsess over it, however. Plenty of other things to obsess over, LOL.

Yeah, it seems like one of those MT boogie man stories. I don't rest my hand on the ****, but I definitely lightly hold it from the side. I've never had any issues in 15+ years of manual only cars.

The other warning I've always heard that makes sense is to not rest your foot on the clutch pedal. That causes you to ever so slightly ride the clutch all the time and leads to premature clutch wear. Makes sense. I don't get why someone would do that, as it seems way more uncomfortable to always have your foot up on the clutch pedal, but that's another story.

So even though I marked the rear 9" wheels with painters tape, I arrive to see them on the front of the car. So somehow they fit a 275/35 on a 8.5" rim

That's sad.

So i took my mom out to breakfast this morning and on the way back i ran over a what looked like a spare tire messing up my driver side cat. It wasn't a full size spare, it looked like one more for a trailer.

I was just turning left on a green light behind a Infiniti QX4 (early 2000 series, the one similar to the Nissan Pathfinder) didn't see it. The spare was discolored from being in the outside elements, muddy, and it blended in pretty well with the street or i would have went around it.

So i spent the late morning and better part of the afternoon putting my stock cats back on, ugh. I was and am still so freaking pissed. I guess it could have been worse....

Yes and no. The neck pillows arrived today, and I'm not content enough with them to use all the time. I think they'll just sit in the trunk, for use on trips.

Yeah. But they fixed things quick. I can't wait for to break in the tires.

Lego - That looks great!!! They really look like they belong there. Did you use spacers to get that fitment?

Please say 'Yes': I had to go 15mm F and 20mm R to get the same looking fitment as you. But I'm 8.5" square.

Nope, no spacers

Don't think I'm going to need them. I'm really happy with the fitment. 275/35/19s look so f'ing sweet

When you drop your car, the wheels tuck in, requiring spacers, or proper offset tires to create a flush, if not hellaflush, appearance.

I'm well aware of that, but these have a 30mm offset so they'll sit flush with the fender once the car is dropped on Swifts.

Funny how Lego, Vivid and now Z here all have the late-model Sport Coupe 15-spokes.
