I just wrote Redline Goods to ask them why they aren't making this neck pillow. Seems to me they've got a built-in market of untold thousands of existing customers who would jump at the chance for leather that matches their shift boot and arm-rest cover.

It would be cool if we could get a group buy going.

So this just happened...a set of 19x9 +30 vert wheels

Redline Goods is interested, and would like to borrow one of mine after it arrives, as a guide for prototyping a neck-rest pillow.

So... possibilities.

I might start an interest thread. IDK... we'll see what happens over the next few weeks. My new shift boot is still in Redline's queue, and my new neck rest pillows are in shipment.

Remember in the long-ago when I tried to get Racingline Performance to come up with a RSTB on the Maxima? So close... tons of interest, a test car, prototype designs... and then it just flitted away.

[edit]

Just got this from someone else at Redline other than the customer support guy:

"I think it is now time we started doing neck cushions :-)"

...with a much longer email, filled with questions and ideas. So this just got fun.

Nice job John, and would be nice getting Redline in on the neck pillow craze
Interested to hear how this all turns out, and of course your in-depth review of those cushions.

I just wanted to share my excitement that I guess it has paid off waiting on getting one of the RJM adjustable clutch pedals since the newly revised 3.0 version was recently released and I finally pulled the trigger on it and ordered one ! can't wait to get it installed

I'd certainly jump on one if it was matching my new steering wheel and the shift boot that I'll be getting done soon as well as the arm-rest cover

Good for you, Mike. I guarantee you will be on Cloud 9 for weeks afterwards.

Yep, I had you in mind as someone who would likely jump in.

Have some patience, and I'll keep you appraised. Either here, or in a new thread.

Bummer!!!

I just test fitted my self for neck pillows...

Maybe they would work as a middle-of-my-upper-back-just-above-my-shoulder-blades pillow....

Eek! Your not really thinking of putting neck rest pillows in your G?!?! So tacky. Say it isn't so! To each their own I guess.

Make sure you are talking to Maciek (Mike) at Redline. I've done a couple of test fitments for him. I have his e-mail address, so let me know if you want me to put you in contact with him.

Sean

I'm with you. I just don't get the whole neck pillow thing. Not only are the terribly uncomfortable, but they just look like a cheap add-on... even the really nice ones. I really wished I could like them because I have severe spinal stenosis in my neck and I could probably benefit from extra support.

I'm not sure about them but then what about those Work rest pillows they have? is that considered +10HP because it says WORK?

Coupe wheels are en route

Now I need to decide on Potenza S04s or Pilot Super Sports. The S04s are currently $288 cheaper so it's kinda a tough call

With a little luck, I can put this all together next week before my wife leaves for a business trip that will push this into February. If not, I'll be a total bit*h the week she's gone

LOL. Relax, guys. If I like them, they stay. If I don't, they go.

Either way, it's something to do, so I'm playing with it.
