The Boston area is particularly bad. I was in Boston with my car in October, and once you get off the highway, you have to pay particular attention to all the irregularities in the roads there. There was a point after a few days that I found myself thinking, not only would having a car lowered be a PITA, but driving a 6MT would get old quick.

Toronto can be bad in places. There are certain streets most car guys will tell you to just avoid. And even some of the better roads have notorious spots that unless you know are there, you can get hit hard. Like a manhole sitting 3 inches below the road surface a block away from my house that has caused several accidents in the last year, an still hasnt been dealt with.

Ha my niece told me of a pot hole at the corner down the from her house that ended turning into a sink hole before the city "repaired" it.

well, at least potholes are taken care of here. If you find a pothole, you just call 311, tell them the location, and its fixed within 4 days. Manhole covers are a whole different story though unfortunately.

Isn't there a way to split the NAV screen between map & music?

Could've sworn I had it this way at some point, couldn't figure out how to get it back (if I remembered correctly...)

I know if you have your music playing while navigation is on, it will display the song playing at the bottom of the screen.

As far as I know, its only if you have a planned route. You press status till you get an upper music info and lower turn directions split.

So I just got quoted by my dealership to have my OEM decklid spoiler installed. They really said $273 to have my spoiler installed that's nearly $100 more than I paid for it! I'll just do it myself with the help of some friends.

It's easy. I did mine without any templates and didn't drill those two outside holes w/ the snap clips, mine is still tight & flush as day 1.
Here's a little DIY post from back when I did mine

That's exactly what I was looking for! I'm just a little nervous about being precise with everything.

i was thinking of fusing my silver bling thing to the rest of the trunk, sanding and priming over it, and painting the whole thing black.

If you've got the skills, then
And if that turns out good you could then try molding a front lip to your bumper, those look great when done well.

Definitely have the skill. The thing that worries me is the painting. Ill do my front bumper scrape first, and see if Im able to polish the paint back to a full gloss. If it works out, Ill definitely put the trunk on my to do list. On another note, Finished with my lights

EDIT: took the pictures out, file size is rather large, and I dont wanna kill peoples mobile data.
You can see them in my build thread if interested. https://www.myg37.com/forums/showthr...errerid=363058

EDIT: Went into photoshop and knocked out all the useless frames so the file size can be manageable.

Animated GIF's demonstrating the lights. Awesome, and very clever, hexotic.

4 image files at 16 mb each... not so much.

Don't get me wrong, I am impressed. You did something relatively unique here with forum pics. It's just... yikes! There are people here using mobile devices with low bandwidth, limited data plans. And they're coming to get you, LOL.
