Bought the house 20 years ago (Twenty? OMG!). If I had it to do all over again, I'd make sure to find a home with a 3-car garage. Hindsight...

I know what you mean... my next house (and hopefully my last) will have at least a 3 car garage, hopefully a 4 car. I'm currently in my 3rd house and it has a 2 car garage, but my 2nd house had a really nice 3 car garage were the 3rd garage was extra deep. Unfortunately when we moved to SoCal from Cincinnati 13 years ago we couldn't really afford anything with a 3 car garage at the time, so I got stuck with a 20' x 20' patch of concrete for all my toys as well as all of our storage (no basements in SoCal and we had an 1800 ft² basement in Ohio). Ugh!

We're not moving until the kids are out of the house. That's 7 years minimum, maybe 10 to 12. And as long as it works with the girls' lives at the time (or grandkids, eek!), I'd like to move out west. Bend, Oregon seems appealing to me, sight-unseen.

'Course under that scenario I moved my gear into the fourth one and the poor tractor had to fend for itself outside...

The best thing about Bend, though? All the roundabouts they have. It'll be the perfect place to test the lateral acceleration of your F Type

Kids make it tough, but at least you have a plan in the works (or at least in your head). And Bend, Oregon is a great choice. My wife and I love the "rugged" outdoors and spend a ton of time up in the mountains with our Jeep. We're actually looking at purchasing a second house up in Big Bear (Mountains near us), which would thwart any ideas of me getting my bigger garage in my main house however. I know this is way off topic, but here are a couple of pics from a trail we just did up in Big Bear last weekend. It was a beautiful day, but actually started to sleet and snow on our way off the trail... made for a interesting drive back down the mountain.

I agree, a 3 car garage isn't really big enough anymore. Luckily I have a 2,000 ft² warehouse at my office where I store my truck and all my extra car parts, but that still doesn't make my 2 car garage at home feel any bigger. LOL. Although, to make it feel a little more homey, I've added HVAC (heating and A/C) ducts, an air compressor, a custom epoxy coated work bench, a stereo with 10" Klipsch sub, and a TV. I figure if I can't make it bigger I'll at least make it nicer!

If they at least allowed me to do stuff on my condo garage, I'd be so happy lol. I have a workshop, but no space of my own, it really sucks. Anytime I need to do something substantial, I have to rent a shop for like $30/hour (cad). I would do unspeakable things for a clean space like yours man ^^.

His workbench is better than my dining room table. Cleaner, too.
