Pulled apart my steering column today to check if I have the wiring for paddles. I do.
Thinking about pulling the trigger since tunerzstore has the kit for only $250. I saw a video with someone driving it but I had a couple questions for those who do have it.
1. It seems you don't need to switch to DS on the stick to use. So, at launch can you just press '-' to prevent the car from going to 2nd right away?
2. I'm assuming that pressing and holding whichever shifter stays in that gear and doesn't keep going up (or down) gears - that each press equals one gear?
3. I've 'heard' (and this may be subjective butt-dyno territory) that the paddles are quicker to shift compared to the floor shifter, and that they're much faster with additional grounding. Anyone comment?
Personally, the ability to quickly drop a gear with just a flick of my finger to pass and then let the car go back to D mode after 30 seconds without messing with the floor shifter is worth the money for me. Plus, PADDLES!

2 - Correct, one click of the paddle equals one gear.
3 - Incorrect, shifting is slower. A grounding kit, cleaning my throttle bodies and an ECU reset helped my shifting tremendously. A tune helped more.
But yeah, I installed paddles too. Then swapped out my paddles for a set of CF paddles. So... I guess I'm a flappy paddle kinda guy.
On a different note I remembered the Redline shift boot today for the 7AT. I bought a perforated boot one inch taller than OEM. Unless they sent me the wrong one, be prepared to custom fit it.

I have a question if someone can help me. I have decided to do a muffler delete and took my mufflers off and like the sound for the most part. What I want to know if anyone has done a muffler delete with hfc as well. Anyone know what that sounds like. I want better sound out of my car, possibly more aggressive than a straight up muffler delete, and want to hear some opinions.
Thanks
