Whoa, that is a ridiculously over-engineered dip stick! It looks like it could double as a hitch.

You're welcome. Honestly, I know nothing about that little guy. I was merely guiding you to his house.

As Rochester suggested, give him a ringaling.

Engine dress-up stuff isn't for everyone, I get that. But this cover really is a clean and simple design. Very clever, IMO.

Here are some better pictures. Seems the engineering is spot on.

Never did come up with anything I liked... not for lack of thinking about it, though.

Got any ideas, Jsolo?

Yeah. I used to think 'no engine bay bling for me'. Now it is just another avenue to explore.

And to think this all started in July with an innocent set of sways.

I've seen some dress up their hoses and use fancy clamps. For me, unless there's something to gain over stock function, I see no reason to spend the $$ on visuals.

Oh, hey... I feel exactly the same way.

Pretty sure Chris would agree with you, too.

That seems more realistic. The original picture you posted made it look like it was made out of solid steel.

We can trade plastic panels but I think the long tube intakes have to stay

LOL, I tried...

I'm actually going to be pulling off the engine cover I think. I have a new one on the way and I want to see if I like that one better. Could be a very bad idea... I have a lot of them.

I am a little concerned that I'll decide I need to go stroked and TT at some point. I'm hoping if I do I'll remember the plan but we'll see.

An orange PS reservoir, with matching dip-stick loop? That's unusual, Tony... I like it.

Time for me to whip out my favorite engine bay pic

Very little here makes the car go any faster, or changes the driving experience one nit... but never underestimate the value of a hobby to make you happy. That's priceless, IMO.
