^ Try Geico for a free quote. I have other companies calling me to give me quotes all the time and no one is able to touch their rates.

Also, check this page out and if you're a member of any of these organizations, you can get an additional discount. I joined the National Geographic Society (free) and Geico gave me a discount on my rates for that.

Ah, interesting. Here there's no such thing as property tax on a car, just a flat rate registration fee of around $80 a year. Although I'm paying $2600ish a year for insurance to offset that I guess.

I'm surprised that was so high. I thought SC was cheaper than NC for personal property tax, but I'm sure it's county based too. I only paid $250, which is 1/2 the price than if I lived in Mecklenburg county (Charlotte).

We pay a reduced sales tax % on car purchases--I think 3% instead of 7% in NC--and then get hit with personal property tax every year.

I live in New York. Never heard of Personal Property Tax before. We pay a (high) sales tax when purchasing a car, and that's it.

It probably equals out since we pay a reduced sales tax rate on vehicle purchases. I never heard of personal property taxes either until I moved to NC.

car has been in the dealership for 2 days now and the loaner which was a fully loaded Q50 is starting to grow on me.... lol

Some say the steering is meh but for me its not like i m tearing up an autox course or anything. Its pretty cool that you can adjust the firmness of the steering.

also you can really feel the different drive modes which i thought was pretty cool. I think a mild drop and some sways would really do it wonders.

Not going to lie if someone said trade you G for a Q50 i d do it

Thanks Brad! I should have put the diffuser on this weekend I guess.

Just ordered a TollBooth Willey under shroud and will be ordering new springs tomorrow. I'm hoping that by early August I can get everything painted and on and the new headlights in. Then it will just be a matter of getting the hood done and on. I might actually be done at that point.

Been M.I.A for a while guys. Was working on some winter projects I have been meaning to wrap up.

LED Halo Tails (blacked out housings)
Blacked out headlights with custom evil eyes and lambo orange eye lids. Also installed STI-R lenses while I was in there too.

Both these projects took me a greater part of the winter.

Enough with the talking - here are the pics!

Tails (cut these open and did them myself)

Headlights

My photo taking skills with an iPhone - they are bright lights so it's hard to get a good picture of them without a good camera.

Thanks Instagram for making this one more useable

I now have a second pair of headlights and tail lights that I will also be modding and selling on the forums here eventually. I don't believe I'll be doing the halo-tails because the halo's I used are kind of flaky (sometimes a portion of the ring doesn't light at idle brightness) Otherwise they are full bright when I hit the brakes. Other times they work just fine as expected.

Headlights if I do a pair to sell I'll stick to standard blacked out, probably no LED's, and STI-R lenses. Unless someone is interested in the above.
