Well had a blow out yesterday....rear passenger*tire*is completely shredded. Steel wires poking out of the*Michelin PSS...I have to say...I've only had them on for about 10 months now and somewhere around 7k miles....I am running -2 camber but toe has always been in spec. I am extremely disappointed to say the least and will NEVER buy Michelin's again! I looked at my rear drivers side and same thing...steel wires poking through, just a matter of time.

Unless there's a known history of PSS falling apart (there isn't), blaming the Make & Model tire for this event is a hysterical response. No disrespect, Fat Sac, but that was just silly.
Still, it must have been a very unnerving experience. I've had countless flats in my lifetime, but never a sudden blow-out. Yikes.

On a related note, my 2011 just turned 24,000 miles old.
The downside to having a low-mile car is that 1000 mile ticks become a disproportionately noteworthy event.

Well thankfully I was just going to the grocery store down a side street at 35mph. No damage to my rim thankfully. And Rochester pls tell me after you drop 1k for your rear tires and they last 10 months that you would just turn around and buy them again? If anyone says yes your full of ****

And I did drop $1000 on a set of PSS, 7000 miles ago, just like you and AroundTheG37 (although he's at 15K with the tires.) Actually, it was $1200, so you must have gotten a great deal at the time... unless you actually meant to say you spent $1000 on two rear tires, in which case that's not so good. And I'm running approximately -2* camber, just like you and AroundTheG37.
So I relate to your situation; I sympathize. However, going postal on the brand is still an over-reaction, unless there's a history of problems. And it's not like you're personally on the cutting edge of PSS issues... the tire has been around for a long time, and used very specifically for cars far more worthy than ours. Would I be upset like you? Absolutely. That must have been hella scary. But you're assumption is wrong, because I certainly would turn right around and buy another set of PSS. They're an amazing tire. And no, I'm not full of asterisks, LOL.
That's your inside edge that's worn out. If there's anything to come out of this, it's to keep a weather eye out for the inside edge. Like once a month, or something. Particularly when the tires are so wide, and your camber is out of spec. Staring at that picture you posted, I'm going to try real hard to actively assess my rear tires whenever I can.
The upside to swapping winters on/off twice a year is that I can eyeball the tires up close and off the car. I realize that's not practical for you, living in Florida and all.

Yes I have rear spc kit installed when wheels went on. Had an alignment done about 3 months ago, -2 camber and toe again in spec. At that time no issues with tires. So something happened within the last 3 months and I can't put a finger on it. Oh and here's a better kicker...since I had my dealership install the tires back in Oct for me...I've only driven 5k miles on them. Called Michelin up and they want the tires inspected, based off the inspection they won't replace them but will pro rate another set

Rochester is running a set of Hawkshead adapters. I have a set of Hawkshead adapters I just purchased but haven't installed yet. Thinking to have my wheels completely redone.

True, but not by choice. It's the configuration that came from Vossen, and I'm none too happy with it, either. But I need the shorter stem for caliper clearance, since the valve is halfway deep inside the rim.
It's a cool looking design, having a deep lip. But kind of impractical. And a huge PITA to both clean and attach an air hose. I can't stress enough what a PITA that deep inner lip is.
