As far as intakes go I'm not sure. I don't plan to do a whole lot to the car just RSR super down springs, wheels and tires, possibly the ev controlled GTHAUS, and a front lip. I've been browsing through the Lexus forums and I haven't seen one person mention intakes yet, so that may be true.
Sorry Kirk, I didn't mean IS in that reply, IMO the GS has always been the best looking Lexus through the years and the current version still holds true.
Look forward to more pics along the way. A buddy of mine has a 2011 GS460 and it's very nice.

LOL. Let me guess... You buried the throttle next to a Lambo, and he shut you down like you were standing still.

LOL, actually he wanted to play. He came screaming up to me on the surface streets then shot across a few lanes as we were leaving the Beale St area. He gave me every chance to stick with him until we hit the on ramp. Then... Well once he got onto the highway he was walking away. I passed him in the end so that has to count for something. The fact that he was getting off the highway need not be disclosed. Crap, I just disclosed it didn't I?

He must have at least been a car guy, I got a thumbs up and a nod.

LOL, I thought so too until I moved down here. Especially on bike night I'm surprised at what comes rolling out. On the way downtown there was a very nice GTR screaming through 40 then onto Second Ave. There is a guy down the street from my office that keeps part of his collection on the 8th floor of a parking garage. Couple Lambos, Ferrari's, Audi S5, few vette's. Definitely a couple million dollars worth of autos. I, on the hand, am underpaid.

At the same time with the ProAm and St Jude in town definitely could have been passing through.

Looking forward to seeing what's rolling around next week with ZCON in town.

Cool story. Nice that he had a good attitude.

A few days ago I came on to the highway and noticed a pair of very pretty, very modified 240SX ahead of me, obviously together. The old Nissan is getting rare on the road, and I used to own a new 1992 240SX Coupe, so I was somewhat excited to get a look at the cars. Drove up alongside one, and the young man looked at me all confused and nervous. Drove up alongside the hatch in front of him, and that kid looked over like he wanted to kill me. He was really angry, and I don't know why.

Made me really sad. Some people are just predisposed to road rage.

That's a shame, I like to be able to compliment people on their cars and acknowledge the work and effort.

At the same time... Modded sedan drives up... Growling with a full FI exhaust... They were probably terrified you wanted to run them.

Well... that thought occurred to me, too. Accelerating up to their cars was certainly not a stealthy process. At least, not any more it isn't. Maybe they mistook my friendly smile for the road-racing grin of a crazy old man.

Besides, one of those cars was heavily modified and making a racket all its own. I suspect no one was terrified of my family sedan.

That's possible. Not that you have a crazy smile or anything
