Hmmm! Tell me more about this formula drift coming through in August that I wasn't even aware of. Bad car enthusiast, BAD car enthusiast Matt!

I definitely want to check that out, and a good opportunity to meet ya and check out your amazing ride.

Could be trouble for me though.....giving me the jones to boost my car and all.

So what do you think? The lack of an initial review or thoughts or something is kinda concerning. Or have you been driving around all this time basking in the glow of your new-found ability to conduct a symphony of exhaust sounds with 3 pedals?

Now did i miss a part in the video where John is jumping up and down in excitement? But that was really cool seeing your car slowly back up out of the garage with that growl. I think you should drive it again and show us how it really sounds.

Not to steal any of Rochester's thunder...

I just installed a motordyne E370 on my sedan today. It sounds sick, ART pipes come in tomorrow.

With the Motordyne Shockwave, it's more like bringing the thunder.

Pics & vids. You're up!

Actually got up to 70 today, but it was 40 this morning. Trees are still stuck in winter. Everything is brown and dirty still.

Yes, my mechanic got the first run. I'm totally fine with that.

I put some review-like thoughts into my progress thread just now. No need to feel concerned at all. Not one bit, Lego. I'm exceedingly happy about this mod. Almost giddy... like a 40-year old kid with a new toy.

Good to hear. After all this time you were strangely quiet with regards to your initial impressions

Probably not much different than my impressions.

Fit and finish superb.

Excellent sound that's not too loud but just enough deep roar to get everyone's attention.

Seat of the pants horsepower gain that can be felt.

Audible hiss on decel between 1.5 and 2.5k

Initial rasp on hard acceleration.

Wait time is excruciating.

Any other questions?

Sorry if this is too random, but bumped into this fellow from Japan, he has some real nice photos, and happens to drive a pretty neat looking car

There is that. I've had that nic since the g35driver.com days so kept it hear. I guess I chose it for a long-time lust for a turbo car. We'll see. I'm in a holding pattern because I want to see what they do with with the new Q60 and the mid-model refresh for the Q50. If I like those, I may opt for one or the other. Or, I may just keep my G as a daily and get a GT-R to satisfy the boost lust.

The other reason I hesitate to boost is because 7AT and I don't want to have issues with it. The only option would be some Level 10 upgrades but that will be a long road trip. I'd rather go GT-R because I have a friend that mods them all day long, including complete engine and GR6 transmission tear-downs and rebuild/beef up.

Love it! The 3 pedal symphony.

Definitely interested in the Motordyne review!

I agree with all of your points. I don't mind the hiss, but the rasp is annoying and the wait is not insignificant.

John, I think the new exhaust makes your car look more complete, balanced and about perfectly crisp. Kind of completes everything, especially with those Vossen wheels. I just realized it but when I see a car with nice wheels and lacking that gorgeous exhaust, it makes me go

With that said, I had aftermarket wheels with stock exhaust and now I have stock wheels with aftermarket exhaust. Not sure what I want to do in the wheel department right at this point so I suppose that maybe justifies it.

Watching that video of the car coming out of the shop, I totally agree with you. The design elements in the rear of the car have all come together with perfect balance: OEM spoiler, exhaust, diffuser wrap, window tint, debadge, and the low-profile roof wing in black. I'm really, really happy with how the car looks.

I believe 4" round, resonated, double-walled SS, with a rolled-edge and a 15* (?) slash cut.

All along, I was thinking they would be good enough until I find something else I like more. And while that's true enough on the face of it, in actuality I think these tips are gorgeous now that I have them on the car. So... at this point, the idea of replacement tips is way, way down the list. If not off the list altogether.

Rasp? Um... IDK about that. Heavily resonated with 2.5" pipes, I don't think I'd use the word rasp to describe the sound at acceleration. But it's only been one day of limited driving. We'll see.
