Trying to install my R2C intakes but the damn filters won't stay snug on the mid pipe , I try to tighten it quickly but it just easily slides off. Anyone have a fix for this? Looks like the pipe is too slippery. Saw John's thread on how he used sandpaper but I don't have any at the moment. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks

Why didn't anyone tell me coilovers were this hard to set the ride height. I have the fortune 500 coilovers with seperate springs and shocks in the rear and everyone was telling me to adjust the shock to change ride height. Did that 3 times with no chance. Called fortune and was told I have to change the spring seat for height adjustment. Did that twice and finally got the height I wanted till I parked on a level surface and then it dropped back down lol. Didn't even get to the fronts yet but here's the current look
Still want to raise the rear about a 3rd of a inch to get a finger gap and probably need to bring the front up a whole inch

It's been a while since I last checked in here, so I thought why not share my short video put together from the most recent snow storm last week and probably the last 
BTW, I'll be dropping off my IPL wheels to get the slight curbrash on one of them fixed and I'll be getting them powdercoated gunmetal as well but may go with a different shade, or who knows maybe I'll do something new, we'll see this saturday. Gotta get that done ASAP because these 50-60 degree temperatures are not good for my winter tires and it just tempts me to put the summer wheels on.
Hey John, I might be getting the PSS as well, just trying to see whether it's worth the little extra for $230 a piece vs. the Continental DW which has very close specs and is on special sale for $189 (original price $230) if it was at original price it would be a no brainer obviously...

I would go PSS Mike, if the extra $40ish per tire isn't too big a deal. I've never driven on Continental's but learned a while back that for my preference, anything that is not Michelin is going to leave me disappointed.
Update on my prematurely worn rear tires... Pilot Sport A/S 3's that were down to 2/32nds LR and 1/32nd RR. These tires were done at less than 14k miles. I don't drive aggressively and the fronts still had 8/32nds of tread left, but drive tires always wear faster, but that was a little excessive. Even the gentleman at Discount Tire agreed. We got quite a bit of rain earlier this week and while driving to work on the highway, the rear was getting awfully twitchy due to hydroplaning (not surprising, because slicks).
Anyway, they credited me $75.00 per tire and I was OTD with balancing, certs and everything for $382. Not too bad.

That was pretty cool. Love seeing how Mike isn't at all afraid to drive his 6MT hard in the snow. That's the way you do it!
I don't have any experience with Conti DW, but these PSS are better than the OEM Bridgestone RE050A, that I can say with confidence.
At the moment I'm in the middle of a killer $30K kitchen renovation, so the difference in cost between different model tires feels like small potatoes. However, I'm sure once the kitchen is done, I'll be back to my old miserly self.
I don't have any experience with Conti DW, but these PSS are better than the OEM Bridgestone RE050A, that I can say with confidence.
