I do have an impact wrench with the assorted list of extensions and impact socket (14mm). Also have the Panther **** (PB) ready. I've been looking (studying the set-up really) and think I won't need to remove the Intakes at all. There is just enough space to get a breaker bar into it going through the fender walls if I remove the wheels first. Then again, I may just go with the top down method. I don't want to snap off the stud on either side of the exhaust manifold. Anybody know what size wrench to use on the OEM O2 sensors?
IMO, pull your intakes off and go straight at it. It will be much easier and doesn't take any more time than pulling the wheels off.
Also, I believe the O2 is a 19mm? Can't recall exactly as I have this nifty slip wrench for all O2 sensors.
Ewww, roof mounts? To each his own. Enjoy the bike. I have a Giant Revel 29er....
I certainly don't want a trunk mount, and I can't rely on borrowing a car. Roof racks don't look that bad once you're lowered on some wheels, which is where I'll be after the winter mess clears.

I personally don't have mine installed as of yet - I'm waiting to complete my headlight modification to install them. I have seen pictures of other members using these bulbs however. Maybe someone can chime in with a picture.

I guess I could see the roof rack if the car was done up tastefully. I use my F150 to get to the trails though.... I'd be scared of scratching or denting my (baby) while putting up or taking down the bike. Maybe I'm just **** about that kind of stuff.

well you know, not everyone gets to own 2 cars or even needs 2 and just DD the G

Stupid question, but 1 quantity is for a set or for one bulb?
$185 is steep but its not as bad if its for a set.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out, its for the set.

You got it! $185 is for the set of bulbs. And definitely order from TRS - most reliable source for those bulbs from what I found. I'm a deal hunter and couldn't find these at a lower price from a reliable reseller.

I ordered them from TRS, I still think $185 is pretty steep, but hopefully they'll be worth it, especially since 65% of my driving is at night.

Oh they will be damn well worth it... it is steep but You won't regret it, and if you want to maximize your output even more since 65% of your driving is at night then you should get the STI-R clear lenses as well matched up with the CBIs and the light output at night is gonna rock !

This is dead on ***** accurate. I'd say I'm about a 30-40% night driver, and that consists of traveling down roads through unlit areas so the added light is a definite bonus. As Mike said, adding the STI-R lenses to your housings will, without a doubt, give you a much clearer and larger light output out of your existing headlights. ClickClackSmack posted a few great pictures of the light output through the STI-R lenses on his G37 sedan.
