After two tries I now have the front at the desired height I want. Now time for a wash, then alignment and good to go (hopefully).
Nice to see you're getting closer to that happy place
Car's looking great BTW, and IME adjusting coilover height isn't much of a problem, just need to be consistent w/ your measurements and keep that preload set properly. Took me two tries too

They may settle a little too, I know mine did as well as Chris. I had the mechanic adjust them a little high in the rear to offset that and it settled right where I wanted it to.
Well, all is not good in coilover land yet. Going over even the slighest of bumps I hear a loud thud from the driver side. Not sure where it's hitting yet but I'm hesitant to get a alignment until I get it figured out.

Bummer. Patience, man.
Here's a question you can answer with this weekend's work fresh in your head: how much do you compress your old Swift rear springs when removing them? (1", 2", 4"?) I've got my ES bushings shaved to fit, and am wondering how easy it will be to slip them over the top-seat.
Today I heard my new favorite sound. The glorious sound of silence as I went over speed humps. My poor exhaust system took a beating for awhile. Adjusted the rear up on Friday, could go a little higher but I should have talked to Fortune about getting longer springs. During the alignment most of the camber was adjusted out, toe is in spec but I'd like a little less. Rotation every oil change will help that.
And... My damn caliper got nicked somehow. Not sure how I'll figure out a fix. Maybe touch up paint, maybe a second set. Dammit.

I just pushed the cup all the way down and they fell out, no problemo.
On a side note, went to NTB to get an alignment and they told me to GTFO, too low. I'll try firestone next.

Yep John, just suspend on jack stands and all the load will be off the springs and should just drop out after the lower shock bolt is removed. Just be careful as they can be clumsy to handle when they're just hanging. Look forward to the end result.

Ouch, that sucks to put all that pain into the details only to get dinged G/L w/ the touch up and glad you're still liking those COs and your quiet ride!
I paid Firestone the $180 for their lifetime alignment. Been well worth it, been aligned 4 or 5 times now I think.
I still need to get aligned again now that my COs have settled, but I also need to buy tires for the CV, the Vossens or AGs, and then tires for that... plus im still searching for a money tree...
