I think it is there way of catering to the "family" sedan. If you look at the coupe side of life, 2.5" is standard and I've seen upto 3" used for FI. I got the 2.5" and didn't look back

Remember your days on the Org... as Brian Catts scaled back on Cattman products, all that was left (is) was his 3.0" catback, which was proven power on the VQ35DE, but with a heck of a lot of drone. I drove a fully modded (NA) Titanium Edition 6MT once with the 3.0" pipes and headers, and man was the drone overwhelming.

Drone. Simple as that. More metal means more surface area for the sound to resonate from. Yes it will be louder inside the car and will produce a bit more distinct sound over they 2.25" piping.

Also they recommend the 2.5" piping for FI as most turbo setups need a certain amount of back pressure to make power more efficiently.

i'm fairly new to the infiniti game but by no means new to the car scene. my last car build was rather extreme and would like to stay on the lighter side of things.

i've got a 2011 g37x, was looking to do, intake, exhaust, swift awd springs and possibly the forgestar f14's in gloss, matte black or semi gloss black.

Right now, I have the 17x8 stock OEM wheels that came with the car, I was looking for a 19x9, I just don't know what tire size to run, and I don't know what offset to run. Obviously looking for a square setup, i'd just like to avoid rubbing, and would like semi-flush.

Any ideas on offsets anyone?

245/40-19 works absolutely PERFECT for the X-drive system. That size will be good for any wheel 19x8.5 - 19x9.5.

Thank you sir! Any comments on offset choice? I was looking for a 9" or 9.5" width. I don't want to do fender work, and I don't want it to rub.

+1 on that tire size I ve run it on all my set ups.

offset will depend on what kind of drop you want.

you can go anywhere from +35 to +20 depending on how low you go.

okay, just about answers my question then, I was thinking +35...maybe +38 to be on the safe side, just didn't want it to rub, and I didn't really want spacers. I really like the stance the swift springs gives the G37x. Just hope it's not to harsh of a ride.

I tried looking at that link you posted, while it was helpful, there is awfully slim pickings for variation in there, so I figured here would be the better place.
