I kind of had a minivan...I got rid of a XC90 lemon Went through 6 transmissions before finally throwing in the towel and got my G37S

Drivetrain Fluid Change

I will be working with my mechanic next week and will be changing my transmission, transfer case, and front + rear differential fluids. After reviewing the owners manual and various forums posts, I have come up with the following to use for each application:

Transmission:
Redline D6 ATF (satisfies NISSAN Matic S ATF requirement)

Transfer Case:
Redline D4 ATF/Transaxle Fluid (satisfies NISSAN Matic J ATF requirement)

Front/Rear Differential:
Redline 75W90 GL-5 Synthetic Gear Oil
or
Royal Purple Max Gear Oil 80W90

The FSM states for RWD models to use 75W90 and for all models with a front and rear differential (AWD models) to use 80W90. The difference is negligible, I'm sure, however I'm leaning towards the RP Max Gear as they make their oil in 80W90, versus Redline which does NOT make oil to this specification.

For you 7AT guys - if you have changed your front/rear differential fluid, which fluids did you use and why did you choose that?

It looks like I can DIY the front & rear differentials and the transfer case however the trans looks a bit more challenging. Either my mechanic will do this or I will bend over and go to the dealership and force them to change the fluid.

Automatic Transmission, RE7R01A Initial Fill..........Not Specified
Automatic Transmission, Total Fill
7 speed RE7R01A..........9.8 quarts
Manual Transmission, FS6R31A..........6 pints
Differential, Front..........1.3 pints
Differential, Rear..........3 pints
Transfer Case, ..........2.2 pints
(just incase link doesnt work, 1 quart = 2 pints)

I'm about to roll over 60k. I have the entire vehicle history and service records and do not have any information regarding having these fluids changed before. If they were done off the record, that's great but I want to get this done now to ensure the drivetrain equipment remains functional.

Also, I'm hoping the fluid change will help with the slight sluggishness.

I forgot to mention, along with the fluid change, I will be installing a Stillen transmission fluid cooler than I picked up during their BF sale back in November. Couldn't turn down the deal on that.

Stopped at costco over lunch for gas and champagne and had the auto center check top off my tire pressure--I measured 30 psi in both fronts, 29 in the rear. I was kinda surprised they were down that low

When did you last check? If it was before the fall, part of it is temperature change.

Never

I just got them put on in late October, so its been awhile. I thought nitrogen was supposed to be less susceptible to temperature changes. And I'm lazy
