That is how i want my tails to look like. I have been looking to work the convertible tails design into the sedan for the longest time. This bring one step closer. Anyone know how much they charge doing this mod?

It's nothing special to me, but I also wouldn't call it rice. The change seems subtle to me. You end up going from circle lights formed by an array of individual light points to a solid circle.
It doesn't change the overall effect that much, so calling it "rice" seems overboard. However, the average Joe who doesn't own one wouldn't even notice that it's different probably.
Not something I'd run out and do, but if I had a cheap option to do it, I may consider. The solid circle does look better IMHO to the array.

OMG! OMG! OMG!
Maybe a 3-4 year old F-Type Coupe really is in my future about 5-6 years from now?

Indeed. I said this before, but will say it again for your benefit...
Went on a pretty extensive test drive in the F-Type S Coupe this summer, probably 20 to 30 miles, in all kinds of road conditions. And I fell completely in love with the car. Afterwards, my modified G37S 6MT felt cheap and slow. Took me a few weeks to realign my POV, and start appreciating my Infiniti again.
The only thing wrong (per se) with that car, other than the outrageous $90K price-tag, was the lack of a proper manual transmission. So assuming (hoping) that the F-Type depreciates like a rock, it's a very real plan to be buying one used at 3-4 years old, in about 5-6 years.

I dunno, I just think it looks odd but obviously this is my opinion which is purely subjective. I understand why someone would do it though because the LEDS in our sedan taillights look somewhat dated compared to the stuff out there today, but for some reason I'm just not feeling it.

Also, at $90K each, the production run will be far fewer than the G37. Finding a properly depreciated specimen will take much more work.
