The next time I buy snows for the G (probably two more winters from now), I'm going to buy efficiency over high-performance, and just suck it up for 4 months. These "high-performance" Blizzak LM-60's leave much to be desired in that category, so fck it next time.

I think I'm going to go with all-seasons. We really don't get snow here in TN, maybe some ice here and there but snow tires aren't really going to help there either IMO.
I'm tempted to put my old set on but I really like the car on 19s a lot better.

I have a quick question, has anyone ever had a problem with their sedans vdc off switch not working? If I hit the button nothing happens. It hasn't worked since I swapped my clutch slave cylinder t I the z-speed upgraded one.

For me, usually what happens is that I get a momentary whim to throw the car into a turn when the situation is relatively safe. Or if for some reason I try to launch the car hard out of the hole... and I get slapped back with that stupid DOH! moment, realizing the TC is on. It really ruins the spontaneity of the moment. And then the moment is gone, and to do it again requires some less-fun premeditation.
For those times when I remember to turn TC off before pulling some minor stunt with the car... priceless.
No wait, sometimes I really screw up. That happens too, LOL.

I guess I just don't find the system to be intrusive in daily driving
It's really rare that I even notice the system activating. And I'm not exactly gentle on my car, as I'm on my 3rd set of tires in 22,000 miles.
It seems that as long as you're going straight, the system will allow a good bit of wheel spin, enough to fish tail, and even if the VDC light flashes, it doesn't seem to just totally cut power like past cars have. Unless its cold or wet though, the car hooks before the system engages.
Rochester--funny how you launch your car, and I don't, and I redline my car, and you don't.
I had a 300 rwhp V8 f-body (no tc or stability anything) for 13 years, so I'm certainly familiar with the handling characteristics of rwd. Maybe some day I'll live a little, turn off the system, and go do donuts in the high school parking lot

And I like sharp, fast turns at low speeds... and highway ramping. Which is why I appreciate having the suspension mods and PSS tires. You think that would mean I'd be really into Auto-x. And while I've done it a few times, and it certainly is fun, I'm really lousy at controlling the adrenalin rush when actually racing.
Meh. It's under 40*F today. Tis the season for granny driving.

True, different strokes. I don't get a kick out of red-line; I like low-end stuff. Which makes me a fine candidate for the 4.083 gear swap in a few years. Or so the theory goes.

I hear you on the handling, sways, shocks and springs were transformational.

There should be a disclaimer whenever discussion about turning VDC off comes up.
***IF YOU'VE NEVER TURNED YOUR VDC OFF, PLEASE BE SURE YOU'RE IN A SAFE OPEN AREA WITHOUT TRAFFIC OR PEDESTRIANS WHEN TESTING YOUR CARS' PERFORMANCE WITHOUT TRACTION ASSISTANCE.
YOU WILL QUICKLY REALIZE WHAT OVER 300HP CAN DO.***
