I've never lived anywhere outside Texas. I just have a hard time imagining that you can be in another state after an hour or two drive. In Houston, it's 5 hours to the nearest border, and that border is Louisiana; which you wouldn't want to travel to anyways. XD
Okay I'll keep in mind when I am going to cross the border to make sure to cover my car in mud so I'm not accused of smuggling drugs lol
No, not so much that you're carrying drugs at the moment, but that you completely cleaned the car to get past the dogs. Which in of itself makes you suspect. The point being, a single driver in a pristine car, who's crossing the border for one day just to "visit" someone... red flags.
Two hours I sat at the border for absolutely no reason what-so-ever as they searched every square inch of my car. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.
So many layers of deception. Not at all what it used to be like 30 years ago.

Haha I'll tell you a secret, I picked up my car in houston and got my Solar Adaptive Tints done at EVS Motors of Houston and experienced the drive to and through Louisiana but I dont think it was 5 hours unless those first couple hours of our drive went by pretty quick was told by by my salesman at Sewell infiniti of north houston I believe that it takes about 24h to drive from one end of Texas to the other whether its true or not I dont know but sounds crazy

At least it was just your car and not your person
I got the Nexxus card, makes things simplier and as long as I'm by myself or with others that have one I generally sail on through. Of course I also know several of the Port Directors, it's amazing how much their tone changes when you tell them you're crossing the border for a meeting with their Director...
Hmm. Good point. I never thought about it that way.

If you guys ever want to go on a REAL road trip (like Smokey & the Bandit) Get a caravan of Gs and make it westward to Las Vegas, I'd be down for that. And you might win enough for a mod or two
Or lose your as$ and have to pawn stuff just to get gas for the drive home

I lose too damn much in AC or Vegas but I'm consistent! I "might" be taking a road trip from LA to Memphis, I'll keep you posted if I do.
