+1 for 180 headlights. I am amazed each time I look through their gallery of custom work they have performed. Everythings eventual, given enough time and a little slower pace on my modding. My other half will conceed.... Next year, lol. I saw a G coupe graphite shadow as my sedan with a blacked out chrome mesh grill a few months ago. It made a lasting impression on me. From what I am seeing these grills aren't terribly expensive and installation will be a PITA but can't be worse then my HFCs install.

Here's that link to that mesh grill DIY. Lance this looks like it would be worthwhile since it really does have a nice look, but would be fairly labor intensive

Alright Gents, Birthday is fast approaching and I am looking for a black chrome wire mesh grill for my G. Anybody KNOW of a quality brand or manufacturer that makes this? I looked at the E&G website but didn't see anything for the sedans, just the coupes. They seem to get all the attention. Plus, most of the grills I have found are plain chrome and that wouldn't "blend" well with my mods.

There's these? I'm in a similar boat. I want something different but I'm not 100% sure what yet. But,I would like it to be black chrome.

I saw Blnewts thread on the DIY mesh grill and he did a fine job on his. I just know if I were to try it the fvcking thing would fly off while driving or would come out poorly after carving up the OEM grill. LOL

Yes, I saw this product but have not been able to find pics of it installed on a graphite shadow G sedan. This is the one I have been looking at buying.... Just not 100% on it yet.

I was sitting here catching up on the thread reading about warped ideas wanting to do a mesh grille and then entire time I was rolling my eyes thinking that its a stupid idea that will look horrible (no offense). Then Chris posted this link...
It actually looks really good in black, but not chrome. I will be interested to see how it works out if you end up doing it.

I'm 6000 miles into this last run of synthetic oil, so I was due for a swap. Then this morning I realized my springs are getting installed tomorrow, and it might be a PITA to get up my ramps afterwards. (Yikes!) So I had to rush and change the oil today.
Using a BLOX Racing magnetic drain plug this time around, with a copper crush washer. Since I seem to be on an annual cycle with these oil changes (because I only drive 5-6k miles per year), it will be interesting to see what's on the magnet this time next year. Probably nothing. But it was something to do for fun, so I did it.
Over two years with this car, and I'm discovering the lower engine shield bolts are getting kind of corroded. They don't screw in as nicely as last year. So sprayed the threads with penetrating oil this time. Hope they don't fall out, LOL.

As far as getting up your ramps you might try a piece of 2x8 lumber about a foot long with a 45 degree taper on each edge to give you a "pre-lift" so you're already up a bit on your ramps before rising. Might have to use some velcro where the lumber meets the ramp to keep from sliding/lifting but worth a shot since you've already got the ramps.

Try and stop me.
Good advice, guys. I may or may not play with it this summer, although won't be changing my oil again until next year, probably April/May again.

the DYI mesh grille looks good, for 2010+, you have this option as well
(just about the pull the trigger, catch is you may have to swap out the mesh material unless the one it comes with is fine to you)
