Unfortunately, having bought used, the car is littered with chips. I try to keep a greater distance but around here that isn't possible. I mean, it is but there are plenty of hammerheads who NEED to be ther when I leave the distance. But that's another story. To me the "normal" scuffs in the paint from other doors etc came out much easier in my trailblazer.

Brother..... No amount of safe following distance can help here in S. Fla. I had GRAVEL raining on me from a dump truck out on I95 Tuesday. Each tick or ping I heard just hurt my heart. The highways are a mess with F.O.D. here.

Fair enough. Most of the country uses finely crushed gravel in the surface layer on their roadways. Here in the northeast there's more dolomite, which doesn't break up as readily. When driving down the highway in traffic, stick your hand out the window. On NY roads, you won't feel anything. But I suspect in your area, you'll feel constant little ****** of road material. Very few cars around here have nose bras.

Of course, we have other issues. Potholes come to mind.

No.... I mean literally a dump truck was losing its load on the highway. This is almost an every day occurrence. But you are right. Our roads are made up of crushed shale and shells. Black top delaminates easily in the high noon sun.

My paint has been better since I've been following Rochesters' lead. Just a shame you have to be so cautious on the verge of paranoia w/ this incredibly delicate paint
I'm still thinking about a wrap and now there's so many color options that it is tempting.

It's been a couple of years now since I've forced myself to keep distance in front of me, and I've definitely noticed a change in my driving behavior. There's a whole lot less stress, and I'm much less aggressive these days with other drivers. It used to be, if someone made to get between me and the car in front, that meant cutting me off and forcing me to brake, slow down, etc. I used to hulk out. Not good. But now I just shrug it off.

Knowing that your car is faster and can handle the road vastly better also helps. No point in getting all pissy with the Chevy Malibu who thinks they're King of the Road. That's just silly. You don't have a point to prove when you already know the score.

I always keep my distance, but it's true. It's just hard to avoid. I've had branches fall out of a tree cutting truck and hit my car.

Like, why would you think it's okay to have loose branches in the bed of your truck...?

Thank you Brad, I just ordered the Motul 600. If everything goes well I'll receive everything tomorrow. Hoping for the best, the box with my calipers in it has gone missing in the UPS system... I'm biased but I'm really not a fan of theirs, called UPS "customer service" and they told me they couldn't do anything and I needed to call the store. I called the store and they said they couldn't do anything until tomorrow at which point they'll call UPS Corp to put a trace on it. But since it hasn't been scanned I'm not really certain what they would trace. Time will tell...

Hey guys, I just noticed 2 LEDS are out on my taillights which I'm sire will be covered by warranty but I'm just wondering two things.

Do they have to replace the whole taillight?

Why the hell would 2 LEDS be out on a 2012 car?
