Yeah, its not loking too promising now... I was hoping that the guy in the classified section would be a little more responsive to trying to close a quick sale. Worst case scenario I can have the HFC and CBE installed at the same time around the middle of May.

Chin up, Buckaroo. I suspect you were more interested in taking a long road trip with a new exhaust than you were showing it off. There will still be plenty of cars with aftermarket exhausts.

Pretty much. I've decided I'm only doing three more mods to my G (front chin, rear deck lid spoiler, and exhaust) then I'll start saving for a 1970s Datsun 240z.

Have you guys been using camber arms with your swift springs?
I'm about to order a set for my g37X sedan, and I plan on just putting in the springs without camber arms.

Yes, they're hub-centric to the 66.1 mm hub. The product details say 5mm, but I'm pretty sure that's a typo-o, because the title says 3mm, and more importantly the manufacturer's product ID# matches up to their 3mm spacer:

UT-3mm-5114.3-66.1

Actually, their product ID# pretty much covers all the bases.
Thanks!

I have had swift springs on for about six months now and I just ordered camber arms. I did this now because I am noticing a lot of road noise from the tires and I think that it's coming from the uneven wear. Visually it's not that bad, but since I'll be getting new wheels soon I might as well do it now.

Is it required? Not really, you can get away without it. I think some people have actually been within OEM standards after the drop, but I wasn't and I have noticed some wear, specifically for the fronts.

Can you get stock camber settings without camber arms? What toe and camber settings were you able to get?

I'll have to look tomorrow for the print out. Toe was in spec but camber was out by a little bit, more so for the front

Commenting just because I've never this thread on any page but page 1 before!

Rotors came in today. Little bit of weight to them dang things. Left them in the office for now, once I get the G back I'll carry them down once fir install instead of down three floors then up and down three floors to get them into the apartment before installation. New interior lenses arrived also, I figure they've gotta be worth 5 HP each since they're from a GT-R right?

OK, I've got a chat story.
  • Ordered springs.
  • Took a week for them to ship.
  • Took another week to arrive.
  • They sent the wrong springs, for the X Sedan not the RWD.
  • Took 3 days to get a return shipment voucher in email.
  • This time they almost sent me the RWD Coupe springs, (srsly), but I caught the error.
  • Took their FedEx label to FedEx today, only to discover they sent me a UPS label.

So much fun. Still no springs, still not done.

This is turning into the never ending drop... What's your take, are the errors N4S related or their wholesaler?

Has me rethinking my plan to order when I do. Pretty sure I'll go with Adam Race Consulting.

N4S isn't at direct fault, but the communication hasn't been good, and they aren't doing anything to accelerate the solution. The fault lies with one of their wholesale distributors. And while I understand it, that's really not my problem. I sent N4S money, not their wholesaler. IMO, their business reputation is only as good as their ability to provision orders.

With all your diligence John, such a shame that the same care hasn't been returned by the other party(s). Once they arrive I sure hope things go smooth as silk thereafter.

Lesson #1 - Not all shops are equally skilled at resetting TPMS. The hardware & software involved is not universal.

Lesson #2 - Never make an appointment with the mechanic before actually having the correct parts in your hands.

Lesson #3 - **** happens. And when it does, it usually comes in 3's.
