With water? I've always used brake cleaner

Did you apply anti-squeal to the back of the pads where they contact the pistons?

Follow Rochester's advice on bedding in your pads.

got my q50 loaner today. Had great terms with my service dude so i got to choose the color i wanted lol. I had grey, white and blackish burgundy in options. I chose burgundy
first of all, I love the front of this car, love it! headlamps are appealing, love the paint! As much as i love the exterior and paint job of this car, I absolutely HATE the radio implementation! everything is integrated in your touch screen, powered by intel, radio. And that thing is SOOOO SLOW, destroys the whole experience. there is a significant input lag and startup time on that device. besides that, my loaner version's driving seat's bottom section has very low bucket edges, almost non existent. its a sort of problem for me, i cant rest my legs while driving, No sonar, No telescopic steering lol. All in all i dont think its an upgraded or next version of G37. its a completely different car :/ suspensions are less aggressive and car feels slower to me while consumes 3 mpg more gas at same driving style lol.
radio buttons are hiding behind the shifter, everytime you have to use those buttons, you have to go around the shifter, not cool. i dont know what happened here, infiniti probably didn't do enough user testing on this car...
very disappointed.

I just use the jar of CRC grease (not sure what the bottle on the left does) And a full bed of the pads, I used Stoptechs procedure and my rotors were so hot that it vaporized the black zinc paint on the rotors

Are those some CS goodies I see?? Definitely interested in seeing the rear diffuser when it gets on your car. With my luck you'll be installing it today and then heading to the cars and coffee at the woodlands on Saturday as I'm flying home?

Yessir cars and coffee was a mini goal, but I'm not sure if everything will be done today - my fenders need quite a bit of work. I'm guessing I won't make it to this month so you can just come back next month!

I have ~$500 to spend on my G.

Looks like top speed exhausts are in-stock with the bevel edge tips....or an intake of some variety, R2C most likely. I don't really care about which one adds an extra horsepower or two. More just want some sound from the VQ.

Any other suggestions? I'm leaning towards the exhaust. My car is pretty much stock except for Eibach sways.

Unlike an intake on an un-tuned car, aftermarket Cats are absolutely a bolt-on power mod.

You've got a 6MT... how about a STS from TWM? That's on my list.

I dunno that I would want to tackle DIY'ing aftermarket cats, and by the time I pay for an install, I would blow my ~$500 budget. Did yours get any louder as they broke in? More power is always tempting though

I'm pretty happy with the OEM STS, plus, I want something easy to take off and sell when my lease is up, should I decide not to keep her.

Lego, I'd go w/ the exhaust, sound is always there compared to an intake that only opens up when you've got your foot in it, and a simple install and removal when the time comes.

I would have to lean over to the cats side as well. On the up side, if you buy FI new then by the time you get them you'll have had the opportunity to save up to get them installed. The production time takes a little while.
