So I was driving on the highway and my front left axle snaps. I was doing about 75, nothing crazy though. I'm here at infiniti now, mad they had no loaners. Stuck in the waiting room at Fette.

I was just cruising doing about and the axle snapped by the bolts, ripping my power steering line and a few wires. Not covered under warranty.

Thanks, no body damage. Car isn't lowered yet and no wheels. They say the axles aren't infiniti parts so they're not going to warranty it. I can see this being expensive. They're working an estimate now, I'll let you guys know exactly what it is.

I bought it from a used car dealership. The last time the car was serviced was at 12 miles for pre-delivery inspection. Now it has 47k on it.

Kind of forces yourself to ask the unanswerable question: what originally happened to the car that called for the axle to be replaced? And what else was worked on during that repair, using non-OEM parts?
Damn. This is one of those expensive moments that forces you to make a bigger decision. Either you sell the car after the axle repair job, which might not turn out so well for you. Or you plan on keeping the car for enough years that the repair costs, and resale hit, are both absorbed by long-term ownership. Either way, you have to get the car fixed, which nails you out of pocket nearly $2000.
Tough day for you, man. Cars are a money pit, that's for sure.
