Nice! I got the sport bumper chin and the rear decklid spoiler installed today. Looks great on liquid platinum BTW.
Also, even though I'm not typically one to want to lower my car, she's begging to be dropped just a bit now.
Sigh. First world problems, eh?

Here's a silly question for all of you that are doing the Sport Model swaps on their Base Journey G37's...if you're all going through the trouble of doing front end swap outs and Akebono and paddle shifter upgrades why didn't you guys just buy a G37S to begin with?

Also, I got such a great deal in my G37x, that I couldn't justify paying an extra $4-6k for a sport model.

At least re: the akebonos, the xS doesn't come with them.
Also, for those of us with the 07-09 front end - where the sport is roughly the same, aesthetically, as the 10+ journey - the 10+ sport front end is a huge upgrade.
If I lived a bit farther South, I'd have an s 6mt. Here in the northeast - literally feet of snow this winter - rwd isn't the ideal option, but I still want the parts that Nissan doesn't deem us X guys worthy of.

[QUOTE=ZOSTER33;3744275]I wonder why the G37xS doesn't come with the Akebonos?[/QUOTE
Demographics. The average x buyer - even of an s - is buying for the utility of the awd. Those of us who are looking for a more grown-up wrx are in the vast minority. Nissan doesn't have to include the akebonos to sell an xS - and therefore doesn't.
They were easy enough to bolt up, so I don't mind

What's even stranger is the new Q50 AWD X w/ the sport package has the big Akebonos, guess Nissan DOES have to sell them now
BTW Connor, that's a killer score on that bumper, not quite as good as my OEM color-matched bumper for $175 shipped but still a sweet find!

The 6MT and the Journey/Sport have a VLSD rear end, close ratio steering, big brakes, sport tuned suspension, summer only tires, and staggered rims. The xS is just a Sport appearance package on the AWD model, whereas the 6MT is a different model G37 entirely, not just a G with a proper transmission.
Not that there's anything wrong with xS. Those Sport Seats are excellent.
