Slight knocking in engine
Hey guys, I may be the only one that hears this since it's so faint, but I noticed a slight knocking sound in the engine, car does not even have 4000 miles on it yet, just do not think I should be hearing anything at all, should be completely quiet, or am I just making something bigger than it is??

I've got a similar issue, seemed to happen after I switched to Mobil 1 synthetic. Going to try penzoil next time and see if it's any better. The engine unfortunately doesn't sound nice and smooth on any of the G's I've driven, but they do seem to be reliable so I'm not worrying much about it. Tried getting a tech to ride along and listen but couldn't reproduce the sound.

So you're probably due for an oil change at just under 4k miles, right? Mention the noise when you take it in. It's probably nothing to worry about, but it's under warranty after all.

My symptoms started around 5k (changed oil around 4k). Slight knock on cold start-up, only while in gear. Stops in park or neutral. Gone after warmed up. Have not yet determined source.

OP, I'd run a large bottle of Techron through it the next time you fill up to see if that might clear it up - you've got nothing to lose and the cost is minimal.
