Servicing Question

Will a servicing dealership be cool if you purchased your car from another dealership? Does it matter to the servicing dealership?

It shouldn't specially since you are paying for the service. And if you are going to get something done under warranty that's free they will still try to do a good job so they can get more business from you in the future.

They still like to do warranty work because they bill it to corporate so they still make money off of you even though you don't have to pay anything.

This right here.

They will treat you well, regardless of where you bought the car, for two important reasons. 1) warranty work is paid for by Corporate, and 2) you're going to go to them for non-warranty work.

They want your business, either way. Although I recommend you find a trusted mechanic for non-warranty work.

Thanks.

I have a local mechanic that I have been using for several years for all my cars. I will continue to use him for non-warranty work.

If I wait long enough my dealer sends me free oil change postcards. Hard not to be loyal.
