2014 G37 Release Date?
#3
Since infiniti said production of the g37 has been extended through the MY2015, don't think they will be making the 2013 for two more model years. I am waiting for the 2014 as well but no clue as to when it will be released but maybe next summer?

I'd be perfectly happy with a 2013 but am thinking that there will be better discounts on the 2013 once the 2014 is released. Just wondering if that is going to happen before Feb when the lease is up on my 2012. Seems odd that they would continue to sell the 2013 into the 2014 calendar year ... but who knows.

i did ask a dealer rep about the 2014 release date last week and she indicated that the 2013 G37 is the last of the G37s...when they're gone ... they're gone ... but she also didn't seem to know anything about Infiniti's august announcement indicating that they would continue to sell them alongside the Q50 through 2015 ... so, I don't think it's a case of her having more up to date info than what was announced it august.

That's not a bragging, it just is what it is. There are lots of things I'm a total igit about. Plumbing, for instance. Random reasons why my wife will cry. And my teenager's math homework. That last one is a b1tch.

Moving forward, I see more rebates being attached to the Q heading into the holidays as it is not selling at full MSRP as they had originally expected.

Get a 2013 with options while you can find them, the 2014's will be offered with minimal options sold along the Q50 through next year, probably to ease more G owners in the Q50 as leases are up.
Check out the Infiniti website, still shows 2013 but the colors are limited to only 4, and only two models, two packages, Premium and or NAV. No sport, no Tech, no wheel options, no wood trim....

I had the same issue when my '10 g37 lease was coming to an end this month but dealership swore to me that there will be no '14 g37 models offered to the public but rather just for employees or dealers but with a very limited supply..after speaking with corporate (office of the VP USA), they still are sticking to the story that they won't release any! I'm under the impression that they're just buying time to see how well the q50 sells before they decide to continue the g37 or not? Unfair to the public who its trying to figure out whether to lease now or wait for '14? I ended up leasing the 2013, but with the 4-5k reduced MSRP that they offered in late summer when q50 was released. For all the confusion and bad marketing ,and several phone calls/emails, infiniti corporate agreed to pay for my maintenance during my lease! Least they could do!

I had had my eye on the G for quite some time. I did my research, read the reviews, did the Lexus / Acura / Infinit compare and decided on the G. I was gonna buy a pre-cert, but when the Q was introduced and the G prices dropped, buying a 2010-11 precert w/15 - 22K miles (and the nav package) was only about $2-3K under a new 13 G w/the prem & nav package. Since there were so many mixed messages coming out of corporate on how long new G's would be available and if there were, w/what options, I made my move and got a new g37x, w/prem and nav packages, for under $35K. I felt I got a great price, for a fine car, w/the options that I wanted. Also got the color I wanted (Black on Black). I felt there was absolutely no advantage (for me) to wait. Only smaller inventory w/less choices. Nobody has a crystal ball, but that was my assessment.

If you are buying and don't want anything beyond premium and nav, then the 2014 may have better resale value over the short term. But if you are leasing, then you should go for a 2013 since you can get a better price and residuals should be about the same as the '14 model.
