Those front brakes look sharp. Congrats
Thanks J
I think that would be impressive if they had more pop, the logo is well defined so if they had more output it would look pretty sharp.

Thanks John for starting this thread...Brad well deserves this!
He's been here supporting everyone and sharing his exceptional knowledge with anyone who asks.
Believe me...I'm one of them.

Brad~can't wait for you to finally install those bad boys!
Excellent choice.

Love the rollin' shot!

I wish I could follow you with some BBK of my own, but that's not in my near or distant future!

I'm due for a rear brake job and I'm going "rice" by painting my stock calipers.
I'm thinking red, but I might try going a bit darker with something more like crimson.

Please don't judge me!

Too late. Non-sport calipers look OK in silver, gray, black, etc. But never in a race-me color. And most definitely not red.

I would agree, don't want to bring too much attention to the base brakes, but cleaning them up w/ a shiny coat of gray (w/ black logo decals) would look nice w/ your new black wheels.

My OEM brakes I painted black then clear coated them. They didn't stand out from behind my Vossen's which was good because they were stock. Now rocking the Akebonos and the metallic silver calipers look just natural behind those wheels. Red, IMO, is best left for a true muscle car. It screams I've got power and I am not afraid to use it. I saw a guy not long ago with Subi' metallic blue and lime green lettering on his calipers. That looked amazing.

KIA sells their Optima SX model with red calipers. It looks absolutely ridiculous. Shame on them.

Kudos for starting this thread John. I've really grown to like your approach to mods and it's caused me to re-examine my approach to mods and think them through carefully.

Newt and for that matter, all of you, have inspired me to help others and answer questions, even if they appear to be noob questions because after all, we were all noobs at one point.

Really liking the Wilwood brakes there Brad! They look really nice. Did you wind up going with a 6 pot caliper for the front? Very nice with the rolling wheel shot!

Thanks for the kind words and again, hats off to John, for being, well, John
I went w/ 4pot front and will have a matching 4 pot rear (same caliper body but w/ smaller pistons to keep the OEM piston area ratio front to back). Was most cost effective and the extensive pad selection & actual similar stopping power made it a pretty easy decision. Although being able to say I've got 6 pot brakes is worth a bit more
