Very interesting, Brad. What was the thinking that went into this purchase?

Yeah, I'm curious why you didn't join the 19" crowd.

Colour makes me think of Midnight Purple. Anything Midnight Purple is automatically excellent.

Thanks for the wheel replies.
I went w/ these 18s for the following reasons~

~Really liked what staffer Lt8che did w/ his coupe on 18s, and if a coupe can look proper on 18s a sedan sure can too

~JDM wheel w/ a solid reputation

~Lightweight

~Clear BBK, and BBK looks even bigger stuffed in 18s, lol.

~Deep Concave

~wheel finish that would break up my blacked out theme but still compliment it.

~Running thicker sidewalls for a better daily drive, I know 19s would be an improvement over my 20s in that regard but 18s even better. My wife & I are a few years over 50 and long road trips on low profile summers does take some fun out of the road trip TBH.

~Oh, and tires are cheaper too

I like the new wheels Brad, congrats. I'm sure they cost a pretty penny. I agree with you on these points. 18's are pretty appealing when you consider what you mentioned.

When I'm pushing my car, I still feel a little uneasy when going over imperfections in the road with my 275/35/19's. If I went 18's, I would definitely go with a meatier sidewall to soak up bumps better, and a more comfy ride.

These are going to look great, Brad. That thin polished lip, and polished spokes, is going to change the look of your car quite a bit.

Hmm, split 5-spokes... a (much!) better interpretation of what you were thinking years ago when you suggested painting the webs on the OEM Sport 18's.

I can appreciate all your points, Brad. I'm fixin' to start my 59th trip around our local star and I can certainly appreciate comfort. Makes me hesitant to jump on the Vibra-Technics transmission mount.

Lol at bringing back the duckfeet web blackout

Just got them mounted up and I'm beyond happy with how they fit up and the overall change in the look and the drive. The subtle bronze tone on the machined face is just about right and the quality of the wheel finish is superb.

The drive is still very controlled but quite a bit more comfortable. The new Kumho Ecsta LE Sport Max Performance Summer (245/45/18s) seem to have excellent dry grip, and once scrubbed in should really have good bite.

I am SO glad I didn't go any more aggressive w/ the offset, as you can tell by the pics I'm right at the fender with only the slightly stretched 245 tucking in the fenderwell. I would have room for 255s in front and up to 285s in back should I decide to run staggered. The square setup looks pretty good as is though, but when it comes time to replace the tires I may feel different

The jump on a dig is quite significant, losing 12 lbs front and 14 lbs rear really is noticeable

And like you mentioned, having that outer machined edge gives a nice change from my previous blacked out set. And IMO the machined edge makes the wheel appear larger, I don't feel the 18s look too small at all.
With another style I might feel that way but these just work IMO.

Brad...great choice on those!

Compliments your G 2 a T.

Glad you got yourself something nice and can be proud to show it off

Members at InfinitiQ50.org also highly recommend Jason@GetYourWheels.
If I was in the market for a new set, I would definitely contact Jason.
Both of these wheels were purchased from him...he has the best prices anywhere.
