New G37 Owner in Minneapolis

Oh and I would still be curious as to whether the transaction in question here was a hail damage car. I bet at least 50/50 chance! Might not matter quite as much since this was a lease deal - mine was a purchase.

The one I purchased is not hail damaged. It looks perfect. Also, auto check reports it perfect and I asked them many times whether the car was brand new and they always said "Yes, this is brand new"
I do have excellent credit (they told me that I had a 854 Credit Score) so that may have played a role in reducing the money factor on the lease

That's great, I hope you love your new g as much as I love mine! Obviously after what they tried to pull on me I have a bad taste in my mouth and felt the need to vent a bit. Sounds like you're in great shape so good for you!! :-)

Oh, this was no miscommunication. Your friend David was the guy and this was clearly "the plan" - kind of a bait and switch. As soon as I questioned about the hail damage communication ceased. I'm a nice guy but I'm no dummie and I would not publish this story without being certain of what went down. Infiniti corporate agreed with me. I suppose they operated within the letter of the law but clearly intentional and clearly unethical.
It's one thing to not have a promised loaner - what luther infiniti tried to pull was on a much much different level.

Things happen and unfortunately it didn't work out with you. I know that the rest of the dealer doesn't operate like that.
