Consumer reports put the Infiniti G37 as number 4 on their list, and best in its class.

I didn't realize my G37 was a Luxury Compact Car. However, I'm pleased to know it's mechanically reliable.

Me neither I was happy to see it on the list, not that we need confirmation from cr.

That's an impressive ranking! Pretty much solidifies why we chose to purchase a second G after owning the first for several years without any real issues.

I have had my 2010 for a little over 3-1/2 years.
To date, I have had zero problems with it.
The reliability factor was one of the main reasons I opted for it over the BMW 335i.
Years ago I had a BMW 540i that was a great car to drive, but it was constantly at the dealership for one thing or another.
I wouldn't take it on trips out of town, afraid that it would leave me sitting in some town without a BMW repair place.

Once you have owned a car that was very unreliable, when you are looking to buy another car, the reliability factor becomes a big concern.

Our 02 7 series was the same way, on pins & needles on long road trips never knowing if this was going to be "the trip" where we'd stranded and be abducted by hill-billys and our car trashed for parts
On our 2nd G now and never more than a few TSB updates, other than that very reliable

I have a friend with a 5 series, it seems to always be in the shop for something. Mostly small issues, but for the price of the car, it's very annoying.
