It is, but of course when people like the car, they will quote the price from the stripper model. If not then they justify their reasoning by picking the price of a loaded one. For example, all quotes for the CLA AMG is 49K with possible dealer discount!
As for the Q50, I would just forgo the electronic steering and land departure warning stuffs and get a better car then the G for not much more money.

Except that its a FWD platform. To each his own, but that's a dealbreaker for me.
Has anyone run across a Q without the Electronic Steering option?

If folks like it and are happy w/ the product that's all that matters, and if not, just keep looking until you find something that meets most of your car shopping criteria.

As stated in a Worldcarfans article, Infiniti president Johan De Nysschen is making a move to de-Americanize Infiniti. He thinks we are obsessed with big motors and high hp. So it really seems that the Q is intended for the Chinese market. Just wait till the 4cylinder diesel comes out. I feel kinda offended that he feels that way about American buyers. IMO it seems like we were the most passionate about the G Infinitis and nobody listened to what we wanted. How do you hit a homerun with a G37 Limited/Anniversary/IPL editions that had every other manufacturer rushing to copy as much as they can from it, to striking out and shooting air ***** with the Q50?? Instead of creating the 2 gay Q50's with the chrome paint and matching luggage, why not make a limited run of "G 10th Anniversary Track Edition" Q50's. It would be a 6mt, all the sport hardware no driver assists (saves weight), malbec black, monaco red interior with malbec black carbon fiber accents, suede headliner, hi flow cats (g35 sedan sound) additional 15hp, regular steering, regular tires on 19" lightweight staggered wheels, wavy rotors, DRL's, and black out all chrome trim as well as blacked out headlight housings with all LED headlights. Finish it off with midnight black grille, rear spoiler, wider side skirts and aggressive front lip spoiler and include a throwback analog clock somewhere on the dash with engraved production numbers, eg: 001 out of 350? All for $55k firm until we get the IPL version. I know it wont happen, but its nice to dream.

Still havent seen one up close and personal but I did finally see one on the road. I think this about sums up my feelings:
I had to look at the emblem on the front grille to figure out if it was a Lexus or the Q.
Brand recognition my butt!
