Had my 2011 G37S for a month. Then, an accident. Totaled or not?

It's up to the insurance company to declare a total, being so new it will take a lot more damage to get into ''total territory'', usually the % of repair has to be around 70% of the cars' value.

never had a problem with my cars with my current insurance agent. 70% of the cars value? Where do you live? Back then one of my family members had a lexus that got t-boned by a texter at moderate speeds. Damage was ehh airbags didn't deploy, and total to fix was about 15k for all oem parts. They still got to claim total. Maybe it's my insurance agent he knows ways around it...With all these new thing they put into cars these days high strength steel etc the cost for those will jack up the repair costs..

Not totaled
Not totaled but probably about 10 to 14 grand in damage.
Bumper. $260 plus paint.
Frame work.
Subframe parts.
Head light atleast $700
Hood. $540
My g35 got rearended and it cost about 6 grand to fix but it was never the same in my eyes so i got the 2011.
Just rememeber the important thing is your ok and a car is just that. You can always get a replacment. Its not like you totaled a rare classic.

I definitely can see that she pulled in front of you because you are vertical in the picture and you must have pushed her to a horizontal position. Meaning she was turning in and when you made contact her car turned further.
If she was dead ahead of you she would have just been pushed forward.
When it comes to body shops and aftermarket stuff be wary of paint, suspension, steering components.
Especially paint on these cars. Infiniti uses special paint and a specific painting process. My old Q45 had the wrong painting done and after a year the paint was worn because they used one layer instead of two.

They will repair it if they can. Insurance will not require 100% OEM parts, nor are they required to. If there is damage to the engine, they will most likely total it. I was in a similar accident with my 2005 G35 and they totaled it.
