Road and Track Q50s vs

I had a friend that knew a friend and one of his family members works at infiniti corporate, and he told him that for the new Q, they did stuff a bunch of new technology in the Q but mechanical wise everything stayed the same and even toned it down compared to the G...

$499 for window tint....
Not even the Sport package. Wonder who will fall for thinking that is an official infiniti special model.
If I remeber correctly the Q50 here starts at about $50k.

Those little brakes look silly with 20" wheels.
I wonder how many cars painted with a matte finish are sold to people who don't take proper care of it? My guess is, most of them.

Just seems strange to wrap a new car, I could see driving one for a few years and wanting to change up the look w/ a wrap, but right off the showroom seems odd to me. At least they're upfront about screwing the customer for $7500. Like those wheels but not at stock height, and w/ the matte finish it needs a bit more aggression to look right IMO.
Thanks for the pics Sniper, looks like a pretty shady dealer. Gotta love that "Dealers asking price" (not the manufacturers suggested price), hopefully that asking price includes the complimentary kick in the nut-sack for even considering such an atrocity

Probably the second point.
"So either the story about Sebastian Vettel being the Director of Performance and helped develop this car is complete bullcrap, or that the guys at Road & Track don't know how to properly drive a performance car like a F1 champ.
Which is it?"

Am I the only one that thinks those wheel look out of place on the car? I like the look of the factory sport wheels better. I think you'd also have to be nuts to pay almost 10k for these trivial upgrades. Is this the product of local stealer-ship marketing, or did the mother-ship cook up this half baked idea? IMO, this kinda robs credibility from the brand.

thanks for the Thursday funny, Sniper! that's hilarious. here's the part that really gets me about it though; what do you think the depreciation on that $60k Q will look like?
let's say some ******** was dense enough to fork out that kind of money for a gussied-up non-S Q (don't forget taxes and licencing). he drives off the lot, drives for a week but comes back after his buddies all ridicule him on the purchase and tries to trade it in to Glendale Infiniti for something else worth that kind of money, like a loaded M. you really think they will value the "California" package and mark-up? i highly doubt it. the markup is a write-off to the tune of $7500, and they would deeply discount that wrap-and-wheel package, and the tint is a write off as well. then you have to consider that it is no longer a new car, which brings another discount.
so he's left with a Q that would be evaluated at around $40k in my estimation. that's a quick $20k touch for a bit of show and no go. ouch.

But I have no personal experience with German cars. Conversely, I have owned 8 Japanese cars and have had little to no issues with any of them.
