rear spoiler

i'm thinking about getting the oem rear spoiler tomorrow. i've looked through a bunch of threads here but still have a question - does it or does it not come with a third brake light on it? i've seen some with and some without and they both look like the oem spoiler. i'd prefer it didn't i think since there is already a thrid brake light in the window.

also, do you have to drill new holes to install or does it install in the same holes that the chrome lip uses after you take it off?

thanks,

If your getting an OEM one from the dealer it will come with the breaklight and yes you'll have to drill into the trunk to install it.

The replicas sometimes come with the light sometimes don't and you usually dont have to drill. Fitment on reps is pretty much crap though I'd go with OEM if you can.

This is the OEM trunk lid spoiler, no brake light, which oem spolier are you referring to? This spoiler does require different holes to be drilled but no need to drill outside the area currently occupied by the chrome piece. Here's a post I made a while back detailing the install without using the outside holes (and without the enclosed template, mine didn't have one)

The OEM rear spoiler for the sedan does not come with the third brake light. I believe the third brake light is available on the coupe's OEM spoiler.

If you have a coupe, the oem spoiler will have the third brake light. You will have to drill holes to install it and there are templates that are supplied in a kit with the spoiler. I just disconnected the third brake light on the rear deck when I installed mine. It was really stressful aligning and drilling holes in a 2 month old car so take your time and good luck.

300 for the spoiler including labor? o.O so how much was the spoiler then, the cheapest Graphite shadow spoiler I found online on infinitiparts or whatever it was , was for 280$ painted

And gotta tell you, now by seeing yours installed on the same color sedan, It makes me reconsider on which one I wanna get -_- either the Autokitsx spoiler or the OEM and I really am clueless..
