Open gas cover without getting out
#2
LOL ... Just found it out today. I did know where the gas button is and I can't find it anywhere inside the car. I guess we have to go outside and open it manually. You have to press it though to open the gas cover.

I spent 15 mins at a gas station looking like a jerk when I had a Rental QX56 a few years ago. I had to search forums to figure out how to open the gas cover. When I got my G. I knew exactly what to do lol.

Safety or make work, your choice. My experience in Oregon has been that they are lucky they can find their way to the pump!

I wasn't aware the doors had to be unlocked to open the fuel filler door as I'd never tried opening it without them unlocked - good to know. Guess I won't worry about getting a locking gas cap.

1st - you don't need to get out of the car to unlock the gas door - just unlock the doors. BUT - there is no 'door pop'.
2nd - I was born and raised in NJ. First time I as in PA and needed gas, I pulled into the first station I could find. I kept looking at the guy in the office - he kept looking at me. It was snowing like crazy. I beeped the horn. He waved. Nice...I then figured it out...

It's weird that Infiniti decided to make the gas door open differently between the coupe and sedan. In the coupe, you unlock the door and press the gas door to pop it open, which I feel is a much better design. I was very confused when I tried to open the sedan gas door for the first time.
