Not bad although I think this look is more unique (not something from a BMW in other words), this one is from member Top Beam~

OP, I rather like the halo around the lens. Not so much the turn signal.

As much as I like these type headlight mods I'd always be worried about something like one little bulb burning out and then having to go through the whole removing the bumper, removing the lights, baking the lights, unsealing the light cover, resealing/baking the lights, installing the lights, and reinstalling the bumper. I love my painted headlights but I really never want to do it again

Not a fan of either look, rice is first thought that comes mind.

Quailty of work looks top notch, to each their own if you like it that's really all that matters.

Here's a few Justin, mine are pretty basic compared to some on the painted headlight thread (I'll see if I can find that thread). I have matte black shroud w/ gloss black light bezels and Niteshades tinted sided markers. I also swapped the OEM Fresnal lens (which has faint rings in the lens) for a crystal clear STiR lens from (3") STi-R - Clear Lenses from The Retrofit Source Inc
If you paint your lights this $50 lens mod is a must IMO, gives a nice crisp cutoff, cleaner light output, and a bit of blue at the light edges (when you space the lens a bit further from the projector). It also looks real nice & clean in the projector.

Here's a couple great threads for some real tricked-out professional work from 180 Customs

How about a play on paint? It's less costly and has a pseudo angel-eye effect. That's what i did on my '07. Top one in image below.

In "action". Notice on the left (passenger) side, how it glows mainly due to reflection and contrast.

since you already blacked out the wheels and have the spoiler, then black out the window trims as well. looks too blingy. for the grill, black out everything except the emblem. and while you're at it, may i suggest taking that giant Eibach sticker off.

If you can darken the window trim and emblems, without actually going black, that would be a great look against a black car. Look into VHT Nite-shades. Newt has a fair amount of experience and postings on how to use it properly. VHT Nite-Shades™

Same concept to the red tail lenses on a black car.

I'd also remove that gimongous Eibach sticker. Any kind of sticker that you can read from 30 feet away might want to be reconsidered.

Not bad, sniper. How about if the perimeter were instead darkened into a black chrome, and the slats painted gloss black (ala Midnight Grille)?

black chrome would be ideal, but involves more work. i've been tempted to have raulG do my emblems in black chrome.

My new intakes are powdercoated in black chrome. And so is this funky 5-piece lamp in our family room.

That finish is so cool, you can stare into it and trip while entirely sober.
