Oh and for an update.

I met with my Lawyer and his case manager. They don't think it's going to be enough damage to be a total loss. So if thats really the case they told me all the options on getting the car fixed as well as an settlement (diminished value, hospital bills, loss of use of a vehicle, and etc.)

I'm going to do a follow up exam with my doctor some time next week as well.

Glad you are ok

Here is my $.02

Return to the dealer where you purchased you new G37 and ask them to find you another brand new one and trade in your vehicle when its repaired.
End of problem and no worries about what may not be right after an accident.

It's only a car

To the OP, I wish you the best in the repair of your baby....and if it cant be repaired, you will get a brand new baby
Yes, I reported his rude post right after you posted, asking for him to be banned and posted, "give it a few minutes". Disgusted that it didn't happen soon, I deleted my post. Probably should not have asked for the ban, I think that decision is preferably reached without average (noob?) guy input.
Then, thankfully, but much later, offending posts here were removed, and then, a full permanent ban was then enacted, f f f finally.

Jerk boy is finally banned, thank you.

Everything that gets reported gets seen. It gets evaluated. Not always immediately because sometimes real life events take the staff away from the forum so that you may be aware of something before we are. But eventually an administrator or moderator (or several of us) will see it, discuss if necessary, and take appropriate action. In the interest of fairness jackasses are often spoken to first to give them an opportunity to straighten up. The benefit of the doubt. Sometimes it helps. Sometimes it doesn't. These things take some time so a person you may view as a troll may not be banned immediately or as quickly as you might like. Or I might like. But it all seems to get taken care of sooner or later, doesn't it? And yes, if a brand new member with 0 posts reports something it may seem somewhat suspicious depending on circumstances. But still gets evaluated nonetheless.

Just to give everyone who hasn't been around long or come to understand my personality, I can assure you that blatant trolls or people who are generally douchebags will get little sympathy from me.

It's been handled.

Back onto the OP's topic, sorry for the brief thread jack.

Sorry for your loss, I've driven my 2010 30,000miles and there are a lot of idiotic drivers here. Glad you're okay!

UPDATE

So the car is not totaled. My buddy already ordered all new OEM parts to start fixing my car. He said the seat alone was 1900. I will be there tomorrow to take pictures of the car with the door open to see more damages.

Thanks everyone!

Glad to hear that you are OK. I had a similar accident total my 2005 6MT last year. My car was totaled. One thing I would check and would be aware of is the passenger side pillar. The bottom of the pillar in my car was damaged and since our cars have a uni-body frame this can be difficult (and expensive) to fix properly. The damage appraiser from my insurance company said it was this damage as well as the airbag deployment that totaled my car.

Just read about your misfortune. Man, can I relate! Glad you have all repairs in motion and things are moving forward. It can be a long haul, but soon it will be behind you.

For us it was our two-week new car back in 2010. Ended up at just under $7K. Yours looks closer to 10-12K easy. (Here's my post/thead back then: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...eakin-way.html)

Hang in there!

UPDATE

my G will not be totaled, My buddy already ordered all new OEM parts. The seat alone was 1900! They also have to remove the rear glass to get the new head liner in too. He's also going to pull my headlights off so i can install some clear lenses.

now to some pics

they cut part of the front door to see what kind of damages were around the locks, wires, etc.

B pillar isnt as bad as i thought. but the lower rocker has more damages then i expected.

close up on the 1/4, not sure if he's replacing the whole 1/4 or going to section it.
