G37 Lease: leather wrinkles after 3.5 months :(

Guys,

Is this normal? I have only had the car for 3 and 1/2 months.
I'm leasing and I'm hoping this will be considered normal wear & tear.

No leather treatment has been applied. Any recommendations?
I keep reading Lexol is the way to go.

Thank you!

Before you do anything, you must CLEAN. Not saying you are one of them, but a LOT and I mean a LOT of people simply apply treatment, to filthy dirty leather.

Lexol pH Leather Cleaner - 16.9 oz | Free Shipping Available - Detailed Image

Once its clean....then you apply the conditioner of your choice.

Lexol Leather Conditioner - 16.9 oz | Free Shipping Available - Detailed Image

or

303 Aerospace Protectant - 16 oz | Free Shipping Available - Detailed Image

I'm not sure if it normal but that is wrinkling happens in a lot of our cars. You may even have a big wrinkle in the seat itself.

I can assure this is Normal.

And, I brought my G in the dealer asking fix, the first attempt they are "able" to remove the swirl somehow, and second attempt they told me it's under normal circumstance , no hurt to try though. :-)

This is def normal and the only way I found to help prevent it is to use the overhead handle to pull myself out of the car when exiting and to kind of just "jump in and over the side bolster" when I get in the car. Keeping it conditioned, will definitely help it as well.

If I saw someone do that exiting their car then the only thing I would assume is he just soiled himself. I would rather have the wrinkled leather then people pointing and laughing at me.

A little wrinkling is completely normal wear (and tear).
On the other hand, if it starts doing this there is a problem. My seat cover was replaced by Infiniti.

Yes I have the same wrinkles on my 2012 and had it on my 2005. Both is normal break-in of the leather. However to prevent wear like chaffing or those wrinkles turning into cracks, I alternate between Armor-all leather conditioner (made with with lots of silicon) and Lexol. Both have their attributes, personally I don't think that Lexol has enough penetrating power, but it seals very well, as it will put on a waxy coating on the leather. So I just alternate between the two. BTW my wife hates the armor-all because it can make leather really slippery for a few days. But that is what makes it good for the leather.

Very common. Leather in G seats is very poor.

Thanks for all the replies guys!
Will start cleaning and conditioning the leather.

The fact that the leather has wrinkles/creases after 3.5 months says a lot about the quality of the leather in G seats.

I don't plan on buying the car at the end of lease term.

Maybe the leather quality is better in the Q50?

Try to apply Lexol conditioner every month during the summer. That should help a lot but again doesn't fix the problem completely.

The cushion design and leather aren't that good on the G.

Every car I've owned with leather has done this on the drivers side .. Audi, BMW, Acura, Ford.. It's normal.. have leather shoes? Leather creases from use.. frankley if this is the only issue one has with a car thats pretty damn impressive.

Correct!
One thing to add, if you are a bigger person and your @$$ spreads more across those bolsters, they will wear quicker that way too because you are moving around on them all the time.
My outside ones are always worse than my inside ones because the way I sit.You can feel the foam break down softer after some wear too.
Not much you can do about it
